    I believe that someone who had applied the evening before also has issues with no ref number.

    I've probably got this wrong, but here goes.

    If you enter the the web ref. it should come up with "Congratulations you are now covered etc", showing all your details but with the policy number blank (which is what happens when I enter mine). I reckon this is proof that you got in before 11.30.
    My theory is that they started withdrawing the offer from the website at around 11.15am, as this is when the site started to crash all the time. During the 10/15 minutes or so that the website was being changed (around 11.15-11.30am) there was a glitch meaning that the people who applied during this time WERE successful in submitting their applications but received no policy numbers. The PO staff know this. The PO call centre staff are able to access the same page, which says "Congratulations you are now covered etc" with all our details on and they say this means nothing ?
    I think the PO know this proves we applied in time, around the time the website was being changed (i.e. to new t&c's from around 11.15am-11.30am) as anyone applying after the site was updated would have received a policy number.
    In my opinion, the PO's delay in getting back to those without policy numbers is because they are trying to decide if they can legally get away with fobbing us off with nothing.

    Was yours truly.:wave: ( 43.00 tracked on TCB showing 6th August, got the congratulations u are covered, at the top of that page for the benefit of anyone from Post Office who might be reading this the word " confirmation" is highlighted,) no plan number :( and PO say they have no record of an application. :(

    I will say as for "site crashing", when i went to initially submit at 11.20ish pm on 6th august it came up error and i had to go back into the quote using the reference number that we had emailed to us, second time of submitting went through fine hence the TCB tracking.

    Because i had the message. " congratulations"/"confirmation", it was a reasonable belief to have that everything was fine and that their was no need to submit another application.

    I was having it keep crashing on me 11:10 to 11:15 aprox, so this would make sense and possibly explain quidco having 3 transactions of £0.00 lol

    I did try the night before but it was playing up then, possibly too much site traffic? So gave up and thought i'd try in the morning(accounts for 3 x quidco).

    So this would possibly explain why bristolleedsfan had no policy no when they applied the night before...ie...no policy no when site traffic was high and it kept going lala(for want of a better expression lol)

    See the time. ;) Solution is simple, We are all genuine life insurance applicants, we applied in good faith, we have the paper chase to show that we were led to believe that everything was in order, the correct thing for the PO to do is where they havent got our applications. ( I was told that one application turned up 24 hours later) they create manual applications and we are accepted under the terms and conditions that we applied under.

    icon11.gif Yes - looks like the high traffic was messing with website at all different times not just before 11.30am. How bad is that, though ?
    But just wondered, when you and Bristolleedsfan type in your web ref. are you:
    1. Able to access your 'numberless' policy ?
    2. Does it say you are covered ?

    I can access the 'congratulations your covered' too...just appears that quidco possibly stopped the offer prior to 11:30/did not track when PO site was having a nutty moment, whereas other cashback sites did not:confused:

    Anyway...scammer or not...this is my revenge, if you can call it that, for the PO loosing 4 international parcels and not paying out, so I'll enjoy a little 'argument' with them :rotfl:
