Hi, Can somebody help me. I did the post office insurance through r points, then someone posted about higher cashback or somethink, and said just copy the link, i did and got this reply.
** 8 Aug **
I am sorry to reject your claim. This is only due to the offer description being a link rather than specifying what the offer was. Please specify the actual offer so it makes it clear what our competitors giving out so we can offer the highest cashback if applicable.
I am really new to all of this, could someone please tell me how to do this, and does it still count as the £43 cash back on quidco and topcashback has been removed.
Thanks
If u applied via R-Points by the stated time and R-Points has tracked for u then yes u complete a HCB form in order to receive the difference between what R-Points pay and what TCB were paying.
Yes u describe what TCB were paying and give the link as well ( doesnt hurt, now there is no link to give, doesnt matter.
TCB were paying 43.00 for Post Office life insurance on that date. ( thats the description) R-Points know what the other sites pay ( The reason for quoting TCB is because TCB takes no annual fee, if u quote quidco, R-Points will say fine but quidco takes a fee so we will knock 5.00 off the HCB guarantee)0 -

The quidco PO offer was pulled for life insurance between 11.30 and 12.30 on the 7th August, unfortunately it looks by your quidco times you were a whole 72 hours too late, unless there is a mistake in that date / time which is what you are posting about?
Post office also updated their T+C's at this time, due to the amount of applicants, NOT BECAUSE THERE WAS A MISTAKE IN THEIR T+C'S! Now you have to sign up for a minimum of 12 months, paying £10 a month minimum, when the original terms were £5 per month and cashback after 3 months.
The policy was a great deal in itself but due to the amount of applicants just for the cashback it got pulled. Just look at the amount of posts on this board and you can tell why.Apparently the Post Office are losing £4 Million a week!
This sure won't help!
I assume the cashback was to be paid by Norwich Union and the post office would still get a cut for referring anyway. Either way it was their own fault, not ours. It wasn't a mistake in t+c's as they claimed and as I said before, its through the amount of fools boasting about cancelling after a few months on this site and others and the fact they had 1000's of people applying in 24 hours. A simple google would have brought them to this site and they would see exactly what was happening.
They are losing £4mill a WEEK?!?! Thats £4mill profit?! X that by 52!!!!! How much were they making to begin with  , not a bad thing if those kind of profits get shared between other couriers then! They had the lions share of everything for years and years, if they didn't plan for upcoming competition with the rise of the internet then shame on the business professionals that get paid X amounts that they hire for market research!
They still get ALL of my ebay custom and aren't even that helpful when a parcel goes missing, what goes around comes around, they would well get back that cashback just in a few months of posting items through them by me and I was a genuine policy buyer anyway. Also I know they have shut lots of PO's down, but in my area, which is a tiny Devonshire town there are 3 post offices within a 1 mile radius (SPAR!) and a mobile van so its not surprising they need to close a few down.
Will post an update once I speak to them in regards to my policy tomorrow, AFTER the first DD has shown as taken from my account!0 -
