ok, update for anyone without a policy number:
there are 30 of us in total left that have not got a policy number. they are deciding what to do with us and will call us all when they have either made a decision or got the policies through. they think it is possible the policies will never appear so there will be no evidence of when the application was made. the quidco link is not sufficient as that shows when the application was submitted, not when it was recieved.
no complaints have been made yet as everyone is waiting to decide what to do. i asked what would have happened if i had needed to make a claim or did not have internet access and had taken the confirmation screen as an understanding that everything was complete, but i got no real response...i think basically it is a wait and see situation...Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. another 2p on the price of a stamp ?? or bang goes the budget for Westlife's fee for the
PO's TV advert
Or they could just dock it from Adam Crozier's next £3 million pay packet... somehow I don't think it'll cause him any hardship.0 -

I wonder if the Quidco/Topcashback issue of it tracking as £0.00 instead of £43 is linked to people who have not got a policy number as the application hasn't registered properly.
If the PO do decide to allow the "no policy number people" to get cover then hopefully we can also resolve the £43 cashback issue with the cashback websites.0 -

Topcashback tracked 43.00 for me on 6th august and I have no policy number, as far as im concerned the TCB tracking is proof that the application was made and the screenshot that i displayed this morning is the confirmation of policy cover, What the post office have received and not received is out of my control, im actually wondering where my direct debit details are. :think:0 -

Naw, my Quidco is validated at £43 and I don't have a policy number.
I hope that everyone who doesn't have a policy number has gotten in touch with the PO. Apparently they have a spreadsheet with those of us who called on it - as the other poster said, there's about 30. But they have no idea how many more were lost if people don't ring up.
Thanks for all the updates today everyone!Comper and general cheapskate0 -

I think the PO's comment about 'the quidco link is not sufficient as that shows when the application was submitted, not when it was recieved' is codswallop (spelling??). It's a get-out statement to save them paying out to those without policy numbers.
They are issuing policies and sending messages to clients saying "congratulations you are now covered" when you aren't ?? What bad publicity for them and how unprofessional if they don't honour those policies !!!0 -
I haven't got my policy number and was told I should expect a phone call back today at the latest, I haven't had a phone call all day. I'm disappointed.0

I just had a call from my PO Chappie. They're still trying to decide what to do with those of us without a policy number and it might be as late as next Tuesday or Wednesday before they decide and call us all.
So no dying over the weekend!!Comper and general cheapskate0
