  • I just phoned the 0800 number again, the message is to be patient and that PO will do everything possible to sort things out to everybodys satisfaction. ;)

I'm really pleased with the way they are handling this, I must admit! They are giving out a consistent message and being polite and patient. When you compare this to the way Homebase acted over ShedGate 2008...

  • Ouch thats £100,000 at least in Cashback if they honour it .....

And all the Quidco & similar sites. :p

    1000 x ( £100+ £43) = £143,000

less say £10 commission from NU on each case ( £10,000 )

Plus costs of running IT system, issuing refunds , handing inc oming calls

    EQUALS

another 2p on the price of a stamp ?? or bang goes the budget for Westlife's fee for the
    PO's TV advert

Just had phone confirmation again - to go along with what everyone else is saying - that cashback is being given for any applications completed (i.e., with a plan number) before 12.30pm yesterday.

If you don't have a plan number they have no way of knowing what time you did anything and I suggest a phone call is in order! Am now back to waiting on hearing back from PO Chappie - he says it is much quieter today so they are better able to help people today. I think they're looking at the anomalies on a case-by-case basis.

Apparently they had 1000 applications yesterday morning. :O

    HTH!

surely, if Quidco tracked then that is proof of the time of application?

Sounds like unless you lot claim on policy in next 3 months they may be taking a hit on profit .... so watch out if you are followed by a fast moving Royal Mail van
