  • hi, another pound to savings from me today. paypal money (from ebay sales) has hit account today, but as i have had a very large "illegal" glass of red wine on a school night, i can't be bothered to sort out my profits and where they are going! :o will have a look tomorrow when my head is feeling sorry for itself (there's more where that first glass came from :D)

welcome to doodledo - most of my payments are only small, but have saved over 30 quid in less than a month - it really does add up. cady - whatever you can spare, whether it's coppers from your purse (or wallet? - is purse an american word? i sometimes forget where i am?!) or something you nearly bought but didn't - however you can find an "extra" bit, chuck it at what you owe or into savings and it WILL make a difference...:j

i agree with terri, greenbynature - let's see what presents we can come up with if you can supply ages etc for people you want to give pressies to. and don't forget the fab "balloons in a box" gift for kids (or adults who like balloons!) - it really is a lot of fun for them and so cheap for you...

glad you're fighting fit again, wee - we are still on the cusp of illness here (no doubt not helped AT ALL by wine consumption, but hey ho!)

    enjoy your evening everyone. xx

Hi Ya welcome to this thread.

The beauty of PaD is that you can do it anyway you want.

Some save change in a pot or money into a savings account and make one lump payment at the end of the month.

I pay an amount per day via online banking. The amount varies depending on how much i have. My main focus is a loan from Barclays, but i am trying to attack other things at the same time. Sometimes i make a card payment on the Cap 1 website if it is a substantial one. All my odd £1s etc are done via online banking.

THE MORAL IS: EVERY LITTLE BIT HELPS, FROM PENNIES TO POUNDS.

I have just started to add £1s or 50ps to a money bag. When i reach £20 / £10 i will pay it into my account towards a debt. I do the same with £2 coins.

Another popular thing to do is to save money in a sealed pot which can be opened at Christmas.

Will look forward to your posts - once you start this it is VERY hard to stop :D
One step at a time ;)

    :D

I find you have to be a bit careful with doing this, as otherwise you spend all on PAD and then run out of money at end of month!! or maybe thats just me!! :)

  • thanks... i have a daydreram fund...lol.. but about 6 weeks agao hubby broke his foot, so he has been off work, so the last 6 weeks have been nail bitting for us financially. but he is back in work on monday :j and gets paid 3 weeks money next thursday 1 week sick pay 2 weeks holiday

so not only do i want to get back to putting money into my day dream fund ( as i have a thread on another forum and great support there lol..)

i want to try and pay the 2 credit cards we have off.

one we only have £18.93 left

and the other one we have 3 thousand and something ? which is 0% at mo.

we have been stoozing the debt over the last few years, so havent paid any interest.. so well happy we have got it down to this.. without spending on them too.

so i want to try and clear it off once and for all, so then i can save properly..

a sealed jar is no good for me, as if i am skint i will dive into it..lol..

so on-line money making.. and paying will would be great for me...

can you pay a credit card everyday with paypal? or does it have to go into my bank account first?

Didn't pay anything off on Monday or Tuesday but paid £3.23 today. Put some coins in my sealed tin though so still saving something.

Have some monies coming in from various places e.g. amazon, quidco etc so hoping that will help pay off some more soon.
