Made £1 payment to evil loan from Natwest. They will not accept halifax faster payments.

I think there may be trouble ahead as Barclays have not accpeted my online payment from Natwest either  Think i'll have to visit branch. I really don't need anymore hassle at the moment. Me and Barclays have not been friends since last year and it doesn't look like we'll be reconciling anytime soon ;)

Sent £2.44 to Egg loan instead to round it down.
One step at a time ;)

Just mentioned the online payment thingy to hubby, who also has an account with Barclays, and he said that if you were a Woolwich customer when they were taken over Barclays were allowing the old Woolwich sort codes over and then converting over to Barclays accounts, now they are only allowing the new Barclays only sort codes, beginning 20 ...... which you should have by now.

Hope this clears up the trouble with Barclays for you Hopeful :)

Thanks for that Nattie. I've just been and checked my sort codes and they are 20.. i've also sent £1 to my Barclays overdraft and that's been accepted, so it's just the loan -no surprise as it's been a long time since i've heard from them, even though FOS found in their favour with my PPI complaint. I'm just going to dig out the paperwork now to see if there's any charges to reclaim. I want to get in 1st before they start sending horrible letters :p I thought i was going to have an early night, but obviously not!!
