I have just been on whats the cost snowballing calculator and if I can manage to pay £200 a month, I should easily be debt free (apart from mortgage) by christmas next year!! I know its a long way off, but I can finally see an end!! :)

I've just tried the snowball calculator - it's interesting isn't it! It made me approach my debts differently and I know if I shift the smallest ones first just to get rid of them, it will be a great satisfaction!
I'm meant to be debt-free by next April '09, but I'm aiming for March '09. From April onwards I'm going to try and save £300/month in my ISA.
This challenge has definately focused my attention to paying extra to debts rather than buy odd bits and pieces that I don't need.
Am planning my christmas present shop and lots of shops are doing 3for2 this year - so far I've managed to lower budgets and find presents for 12 people for £48! Will keep looking for better deals/gifts - am trying for a fiver a gift with 3for2! x

Hi penguin - congratulations on the DP card, i forgot to say yesterday :T

Made £1 payment to evil loan from Natwest. They will not accept halifax faster payments. Have paid more off the gas bill which i could do with faster payments! Only £30 left now on that. £5 to cap 1 too.

I'm not worrying about savings this week as have some big things to pay, but i know there's money coming. Yep, i'm still waiting..............

:D Have a good day everyone.
One step at a time ;)
