frasermum, capital one is a bit slow for me too but the payments are showing up eventually! hope your recovering well from your section and little niamh is doing well, i'm trying to type one handed as my little one is on the boob:rotfl:

£3 for me today and £5 to oh's capital one

Niamh is doing well, but loves her milk so is also feeding alot! Have learnt to do alot of things with one hand!

I wonder what is going on at Capital One? I know they have laid off quite a few staff at their offices in Nottingham, so maybe thats it - either that or they are about to go under - maybe our debts will get written off :rotfl:

  • Another 50p added to my tin today. According to the snowball calculator my estimated clear date on the credit card is April 2010...not too bad but I think I can bring that down a bit with these extra payments that I'm hoping to add in November. I'm now actally looking forward to receiving the credit card statements to see what kind of inroads i'm going to be making from now on. Does anybody else get that feeling?

  • I also used the snowball calculator and am feeling a little down now, but also pleased I know where I stand. DFD is going to be Dec 2010, so I am going to stick with the projections it has given me as my own minimum payments (rather than the ones given by the companies) and try and make payments on-top of that to get it down even quicker than that. Im going to throw every spare penny I have at them - I would like to do it in 18 months rather than the 26 the calculator has given me.

Im also going to ban myself from using the cards for Christmas pressies, as thats how I got myself in this mess in the first place.

Me too. That and frivolous spending on things I never needed.

As i have a good credit rating the CC companies give me massive (in my opinion) credit limits. My current one is £7,400

And the problem is that in the past I have just thought 'what the hell!'

£5 for me today. Excellent as it brings my ISA to just over £200 and I've still got enough money in the bank to last till the end of the month - unheard of for me.

My debt free date is 2012 which seems such a long way away. I hope, though, after Christmas, to start snipping away at it so that the end date is considerably earlier than that. Ideally it would have been by my 50th birthday but that's next year and, unless I get a fantastic payrise or lottery win, I think that's unrealistic. Will still give it a go though.

    Have a nice day everyone.
