My mum bought mine this morning :j
She woke up after 8 having overslept, rushed down to our local Lidl where she says people were carrying 2 or 3 at a time to their cars, but they'd already sold outshe was advised by the staff to try another store nearby, but got there about 8.50 to find it had also sold out.
Luckily, a lovely member of staff had put one aside for a himself, but his brother had already got him one from another shop. The lovely , lovely man then let my mum have that one!! :T He said he'd never seen choas like that morning - they had over 60 players all gone in 1/2 hr. Mum says she got evil glares from other shoppers in the queue tho!0 -
Interestingly, they also took the name and addresses of everyone who bought one. Apparently they're planning on increasing their electrical range and presumably will then be targeting advertising.0

I actually went in yesterday (Fri) to ask if my store (Maryhill, Glasgow) was doing this deal from Saturday and was told they were. The staff guy though said if i wanted one there and then he'd give me one.. So i beat the rush! Good tip for next time tho..0

Help! I bought 2, one for myself and one for a birthday present for my nephew. I set mine up, but the remote control did not seem to work. In the end, having tested the batteries etc. I opened up the other one, tranferred the batteries, and it worked fine. This is very disappointing. Has anyone else found a problem? If so, have you found a way to rectify it?0

good for you shimsham glad to see that you and others stood up to the greedy idiots ( had other names in mind but thought better of it ) i would like say that limiting people to 1 or 2 would help others but they would only get friends and family there to get them. shame how so few make so many look bad.1st son born 11/02/05 2nd son born 09/01/08
thats all i'm adding to the human race so think yourselfs lucky lol0 -
Wnet to my local Lidl store this morning at 8am to collect my DVD player, they only got the black model delivered and no silver ones but it's still well worth the £20, I also picked up a 5.1 surround system for £39.99 while I was there so I can get full DD 5.1 out of the player.
Have not tried either of them yet but hopefully they will be good0
