Can anyone suggest some 5.1 speaker to go with this ? Also, can I just plug the straight in the back ? Sorry, out of my comfort zone with cables and sockets now!
    Thanks.

  • Aria (https://www.aria.co.uk) often have decent 5.1 speaker systems on offer for around £20-£25.

It will depend on the speakers you get, but yes I would expect you can just plug them in - usually the stand-alone speaker sets are setup so they will just plug into the player.
  • Just had a look for you - try these - http://www.aria.co.uk/ProductInfoComm.asp?ID=16286

comes in at £35 inc VAT, but they have the right cables to basically plug straight in. There is also a cheaper set there, but it comes in black and doesn't look quite as good (in my opinion) - for the sake of a fiver, I'd favor the ones linked to above.

Unless of course, you bought the black player :-D

  • Tried both the original (kpjc19_1) name as is on the website and re-naming (kpjct19_1)as mentioned earlier but just get a 'check disc' message. The website does actually call the file one name when making reference to it but the file itself has the other name. Any ideas?

Did you 'burn' the disk or just copy to it ?

I am using the SVHS connection and have noticed that 23 fps movies have a slight stutter when the camera is panning. Can anyone tell me if using an RGB connection is any better. It is not easy for me to test due to the logistics of my lounge (OK this player is in my HI-FI rack 10 metres away from the telly and I already have an SVHS lead buried under the carpet).

Still, it plays everything unlike my much more expensive KISS player :T
  • I burned to a RW disk. Put the file inside a folder called SCARLET,then that folder inside another folder called RMTM0000. Is this correct?
