Yep. I burned the RMT0000 folder to a CD-R and that worked fine.. you could try it again with a new disk .. it took me two shots with the firmware upgrade for some reason.HLK

It is not easy for me to test due to the logistics of my lounge (OK this player is in my HI-FI rack 10 metres away from the telly and I already have an SVHS lead buried under the carpet).
I find most stuttering during panning happens when the player is playing back NTSC material in PAL mode and vice versa.
You can switch between NTSC/PAL/AUTO by :
1. Close the drive tray with no disc
2. Wait til display says "NO DISC"
3. Hold down pause (for around 5 seconds) until display says either PAL, NTSC, or AUTO.
If you push and hold pause again it will cycle to the next mode.baz8755 wrote:Still, it plays everything unlike my much more expensive KISS playerThis space for rent0 -
Checked out another DVD site. Found out you cant use a RW cd. Burned the file to a normal CD-R and het presto, it worked, changed to Region 0. My region 3 dvds bought from CD-WOW now worked fine. You can use the disk if you ever need to make the player region 2 again if you need to return the player under warrenty.
Thanks for all your help everyone.Humans only use around forty percent of their brains capacity. Imagine what we could achieve if we used the other seventy percent!0 -
Numptie, I used a CD-RW to update my firmware and change the region code (the same disk for both, though not at the same time obviously). Worked fine.0

Those are the symptoms of a lack of packed bitstream support. If all else fails, upgrade firmware.Numptie wrote:Checked out another DVD site. Found out you cant use a RW cd. Worked for me with cdrw, dvd-rw and dvd+rw0 -
I think this may be the problem but my TV only supports NTSC in RGB scart, so the S-VHS connection is of no use.
Oh and I have already upgraded the firmware0 -
