Lidl Dvd Player/card Reader £19.99 [CLOSED]

HI just looked in new LIDL leaflet and they are having the dvd player with card reader for £19.99 on SATURDAY 12TH NOVEMBER.We bought one when it was £44.99 and it is a brilliant machine.Not sure if it is just scottish stores.Plays

AVI files,WINDOWS MEDIA, DIVX,CDR CDRW,JPEG,MPEG4.KODAK PICTURE CD AND MANY MORE.
CARD READER PLAYS

CF,MD,SM,MMC,SD,MS,MS-PRO.

Has played anything we have put in it.

I picked one up recently as well, in Slough. There was a whole stack of them, and not surprisingly they were going like warm bread. I don't think you would find this spec anywhere else, even at twice the price. Works fine, well chuffed.

Was just wondering how you knew it was on offer from November 12th as I've looked at their web site and I also get the leaflet through my door. I haven't had any info on the DVD player.

Hope it is correct as I could do with a new DVD player.

I picked up the same leaflet from the store. Not on website yet. There is no info as to which model it is, but, if it is the existing 5100X model, then it supports packed bitstream with the latest firmware.

What is a card reader, please? We already have perfectly good multiregion dvd player, and recorder. What would the card reader do extra? We have NTL not sky, if this is relevant.

You won't need this player unless you want to..

1. Play divx/xvid encoded avi files
or
2. Play jpeg, avi or mpeg or mp3 files from a CF, MMC, SD or SM memory card.

They are various differnt kinds of memeroy cards you would find in a digital camera.

You better explain "packed bitstream" for err ummm those in the forum who don't know what it is. I would explain it of course but seeing as you mentioned it first.
