back page of leaflet says saturday 12th november. Also on offer is an accoustic classical guitar set for £29.99 and a childs keyboard for £9.99 and various universal dvds. This is the first time i've seem anything advertised on a saturday.I have the leaflet so don't think it is a printing mistake. This is why I started this post. Even if you just use it just as a dvd player it is a bargain. But with all the other capabilities of this player it is a true bargain.Goooooo with the Flowwwwww0

I spotted this one yesterday too, and at that price you can bet I'll be sat outside waiting for them to open.
I've read a few bad reviews though, but I'm thinking for £20 its got to be worth the gamble!
Will save me a stack of time not having to convert my Xvid movies to DVD first.0 -
I will also be queing at 8.30am to get one.Goooooo with the Flowwwwww0

Is this a multi-region device or are you limited to Region 2?
Also note:
if you get asked at the till to fill out a TV reception device form which the store is obliged to refer to the TV Licensing people, it's probably a crime not to fill in your accurate details. And if you erred in the details you wrote down, and you paid cash (as opposed to debit card), then they have no practical way of tracing the purchaser for correction. Moral: So either fill in the correct details, or pay cash?:)0 -
can someone do a scan of the leaflet ?0

Yes, it can be made multi-region apparently. Theres various firmware updates aswell if needed.

Had this argument when I got a DVD player from Lidl a year or so ago. You only need to complete the form if you are buying something which can receive television signals.
I declined to complete the form, and so the manager was summoned. In the meantime, they took my money and issued the receipt. The manager gave the company line that I needed to complete the form.
I replied "No thank you" or words to that effect, picked up my DVD player (I had a receipt to say that I had paid for it), and left the shop.
Looks like we might be having a repeat performance on Saturday 12th.[size=-2] If this post was unhelpful, please tell me.

Is the UK retailer obliged to make you fill this form by law? I have bought TV cards and DVD players from computer shops and never needed to fill in such forms.0 -
I think the law states that the sale of anything capable of receiving a TV signal must be notified to TV licensing. DVD players would be excluded from this, though I believe VCRs arn't.
The law is fairly old though, so not religiously stuck to - it tends to only be enforced in places where the form would be completed on a POS system (places like Dixons, Argos etc).0
