Sharon, your monkey is fab. Do you have the link for the instructions you used please? Might have a go at making one or 2 myself.0

pinkemsy-wow you have been busy and they look brilliant-I couldnt get my mouth to go right on mine so I think I will have another go later this weekend. Would you like to share your pattern for the sock elephant please? if we had to make for same family, two different animals would be ideal.
Would love to see your finished elephant as well.
Dora xx
Here's the pattern - good luck, it's more fiddly than the sock monkeys. Just hope I don't bump in to any of you at the craft fairs I do!

There are two styles of monkeys, ones that I call more rounded (eg with the indent ears) and mine which use lighter stitching and finishing. The key with the mouth (my way) is to keep securing your cotton ensuring it doesn't get twisted, backstitching and ensuring there are no gaps, otherwise they look 'toothy'!0 -
I've tried to post the photo, same problem, although I saw the image and then when it posted it disappeared!0

the monkeys are fab, just in the middle of doing my first ever one, and its so easy the only thing im struggling with is the stuffing i dont have any. would cotton wool work??? not that i have any of that either lol. i do have old tights but not sure if they would work properly?
i am eyeing up my pillow at the moment, and thinking....will i????
nutty xx
Suggest you go to Dunelm Mill (you can order online) where they have massive bags of stuffing for £3.99. Polyester fibrefill is best and you can manipulate them to be as soft or sturdier as you want. At that price it's better value than anything else, and your monkey will be smooth.0
