    Aaah thanks guys, the fluffy socks work really well, made him lovely and cuddly and the material is very VERY forgiving (I'm v. bad at sewing and have no idea what stitches I was supposed to use!).

    Just love these sock monkeys.................is there a store that sells them ? (at reasonable price) :confused: I know I'll never be able to make one and don't want to put too much pressure on my friend to have a go -though I'm sure she would.

    Cant remember who it was but one of you said they can personalise them. Can you put names on them?

    They can be made by hand sewing but having a sewing machine is much quicker. Mine are personalised with a peice of card round their necks with ribbon and the recipients name put on in letraset. Im sure you could sew the names on as well especially if the monkey is plain. hth.
