Here is my first attempt

Where did you get the little skirt and butterfly?Avon sales - C4 £1080 -
Mine is completely hand sewn... I used a back stitch on the straight parts, and a blanket stitch at the edges... Where the limbs are attached to the bidy I just used a running stitch... The instructions I used called for a whip stitch... I have no idea what this is!A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

The skirt is a childs hairband. I bought a card of 4 for £1 in primark but most "cheap" shops sell them. The butterfly was ona card of 5 I think from a shop we have here called What! again thats a bit like a "cheapy" type shop and they have loads of craft stuff again the card for £1May Grocery Challenge £254.16/£3200 -

OK, so i've just finihed my first sock monkey, an xmas pressie for dd...
(Apologies about the photo, its awful!)
I used a pair of knee length socks, and had to hand sew everything from the arms onwards as the raw edges didn't agree with my sewing machine foot
I like the long legs and tail, but a bit dissapointed with the arms - far too long, i might trim them down a bit. The finish wont be quite as neat but i think it'll bug me if i don't do it!!

Clare - he's lovely.........and what super colours. I wouldn't worry about the long arms............after all he's got long legs and a long tail............still, up to you, matter of choice. I think he's cute:jMary
