Sock monkeys!

heres my latest 2!

Usually I decide what i will do then make the monkey ie the drunk party girl monkey, but as i have just got a sewing machine i just grabbed 2 pairs of sock and made them. I have been really stuck for how to dress them so i got EVERYTHING out and have decided on party girls (the one with wobbly eyes does look a bit tipsy!!! )

Kisto - where do you get the camaflage socks from? I have just searched all round town for some and couldnt find any! I am going to try asda and matalan tomorrow!! I really want some!

I saw some in wilkinsons at the weekend - they are kids size but were great, blue, green and grey camo IIRR.

Thanks but I had a look in our wilkinsons today and they didnt have any socks at all!!

I got mine from an independent department store (Chopes in Bideford, Devon).... and shock horror :eek: disaster... they are in the clearance bin so when they are gone what am I going to do?! EEK! :rotfl: Doesn't even bear thinking about. I bought 4 pairs at the weekend anyway to keep me going!

I'll keep my eye out for any others though and let you know.

oh no!!!!!!!!!! what will i do!!!!! I really really want some!!! i will add a few more shops to the hunt tomorrow and let you know how i get on!

Just finished my 1st Sock Creature order from someone I know at work. He put in a special request for it to look like the 'Sack Boy'...I think I've managed it?!

he looks really good.

my sock hunt didnt go too well today. still no camaflaugh socks, i looked in asda, matalan, boots, B&m, poundstores and next! actually asda did have some but only trainer socks so no good!

but matalan did have a sale so got some zebra pattern socks for 50p so not a total waste of time! now do i use them to make a sock zebra or do i make a zebra sock monkey...........

Good luck on the sock hunt, do you have a Primemark? I tend to find them quite good for selections of socks & there cheap
