gorgeous monkeys! mine have all left home to their new homes and now going to make few more today for my DDs tabby cats what did you use for the eyes of your monkeys?

Well the monkey for my colleague went down very well. He was made from a pink, green, gold and black sock from Topshop, took me a while to finish him last night but using the sewing machine for the first part really cut down the time. I had a pair of mini wings which I bought ages ago from matalan and I tied them on too, looked really cute! She called in Tegwyn!

Can I ask how much you charged? I think the time it takes to make them is high for the cost I would want to charge. I think next year I would like to make some sock monkeys for some Christmas fairs but I would want to sell them for a reasonable price

Sorry not been around much, very busy! Fantastic monkeys everyone:T sooo cute! Well I finally finished all my Christmas orders phew! I've got a bad shoulder now with all the sewing:rolleyes: so glad to have a break for a couple of weeks. Here is one of my latest monkeys made for another MSE'er:D

This one was for a mate and I charged her £10. I spent about 9 hours making him as I dont have a sewing machine and the knitting also takes me a while. Hopefully I will get quicker (or get a sewing machine) as my mum wants to sell them on her craft staff for me.

Mine were all delivered to their destinations for an early pre-Xmas Xmas this weekend... and everyone thought they were wicked... apart from the cat, that is, who walked into the room to be confronted by a line of 4 monkeys and had an expression on his face I've never quite seen on a moggie before.
