Sock monkeys!

Pennib. Again no help with information sorry. i stock up with them from the states when i go over in may, but they do sell them on ebay. just check your sizes carefully.

hope somebody asks me a question I can answer now cos I feel i'm not being any help to you ladies at the mo.

jetty if your passing a charity shop just pop in ask if they have some odd balls of wool. all mine are left over balls of wool from a friend who does lots of knitting and i have seen some in charity shops before now.

also if anybody needs needles also ask in charity shops, they dont normally have these on display, maybe due to the safety factor i dont know.

hi ladies - sorry its been a while, ive been sooo busy.

some lovely pics of monkeys well done

i did my first fair and it was fantastic! took all 25 sock monkey kits and sold them ALL, sold 6 complete monkeys and got loads of great feedback. i live in a small town and although there was a steady stream of people there were no huge queues. sold some of my stuff to the other stall holders and they were reallyimpressed that my stuff looked so good with it being my first fair. i got invites to another 3 fairs from people attending that want me to have a stall at their fairs. some stalls complained that they never even sold enough to cover the price of the stall but i did really well. my friend came with me and shes doing the one a week sat for me as i will be in soain so i'm currently in the middle of making 75 sock monkey kits so far i have marked and pinned them all so just need to get sewing now.
if anyone is looking for socks for monkeys primark have some nice stripey and glittery socks in, they were in the girls section but were size 4-7 worked out t about 40p a pair, they also had animal print ones in the ladies section and luminous striped ones

Pennib...I can help out with the eyes...I bought some from The Works...I think they were either 99p or £1.99 per bag.:D

I would love to make a sock monkey. I don't have a sewing machine though. Could i sew them by hand??

I was in B&M today and they have some stripy ladies socks for 99p a pair or 5 for £2. some are long socks and some just normal socks.

Where do you get the stuffing from?
