I woild love to give it a go but i cant even sew a botton on :(

Honestly Julie, I was the same for example I used to go to a teenage mums group (quite a few years ago now) and every time we did sewing i glued everything together, my son had a glued together xmas stocking and a glued together halloween costume (poor child)
I managed to make one sewing it all by hand, there's a pic on this thread, he wasn't very beautiful but my youngest loves him so much he's managed to burst his tail open (see told you - my sewing lol)
I haven't had another go yet, i think it would be easier to use a machine as it would make it more secure and be quicker.
Go on have a go, I'm so not a crafter at all!! but i did enjoy it and it was quite nice just sitting doing something relaxing, quite soothing

P.S I started my 2nd one, sewed the leg bits inside out got mad and gave up, now i can't find my needle to start again :o x

Dnt worry about the tail thing, I made mine with a sewing machiene and the tail has bust open. My daughter wnt let me fix it so have to watch it and see if it gets any worse.
