Lovely monkeys ladies! They are fab!

Stardrops why is there a safety pin in it? ... you could add a nice fake sunflower and get it going :rotfl: I love the hat!

    hi RustyFlange

My mam did the hat and thats how it was on the picture, she's not very good at deviating from the pattern bless her:rotfl: but I was going to sew a big button on there or something! I think the hats hysterical though:rotfl: everytime I look at the monkey with the hat I can't stop laughing:rotfl:

Here's a monkey I made tonight, thought I'd go for a different look with this one;) The hat is a big sort of sun hat, the next attempt at the hat will be better I hope:rotfl:

Hey all, newbie alert. I have made 3 monkeys now and really enjoyed them and I have no talent at sewing at all, I think part of the appeal of handmade toys is that they look handmade and are unique. I used the instructions on the instructable website and the only really awkward bit was sewing on the limbs so that they hung right and were in the right place. I used felt for the eyes, a white circle then a dark one because I thought they looked cuter. I'd totally give it a go Julie, I did my first one by hand and it took ages but it was so worth it for the look on my friend's face when he was given it :)
I woild love to give it a go but i cant even sew a botton on :(

    Hi Sharon

The socks where just part of a 3 pack from Tesco, I get quite alot from there:D

The eyes are just sewn on with black cotton and are usually about the last thing I do on the monkey. Hope that helps:D

That's what I did for a wedding present for 2 of my friends. 2 mainly grey socks, one women's one and one man's one. They loved them :)
