Just got sent TWO blue dragon stir fry shots as I said the sweet and sour one doesn't sound very appetising, I made it clear I hadn't tried it but quite a few people had slated it and so I decided to try something else with my coupon for a free one. The company still insisted on sending me two more! So that is four I have had for free altogether

Received my free 200g jar of clipper coffee today in a very well padded box, looks great and new jar/lid design is much better, so hopefully no chance of it going mouldy this time. I wrote a nice thank you email right away
. Have had close to £20 worth of freebies already this year and its not even February yet

I got a very nice letter and a £5 voucher from Britvic after a genuine complaint. I've found companies are usually more responsive (and generous) if you give them as much detail as possible - they specifically thanked me for sending the barcode and production codes from the can.0

Sent a genuine compliment email to Andrex as I found their classic white toilet roll lasted up to 4x longer than shop own brand ones, even the supposed luxury ones, also asked if the money off coupons that have been put through people's doors as 'junk mail' in many areas would be coming our way and if not since we rarely get those types of direct mail in our area could andrex send one of said pieces of junk mail to me through the normal post as the current price of their product along with there being no really good offers on it at the moment; was putting me off buying anymore at the moment. Which I thought was reasonable; and as always I was polite. I just got quite a curt and abrupt supply saying they have no 'program' for sending vouchers or coupons to the general public and patronising spiel about how I should watch out for the special offers in stores, in magazines or on their website, don't think I will be buying andrex again :mad:0

Ok this is my list so far (from complaint/compliment emails not freebies you get from facebook pages etc)
*young's-genuine complaint about Jamie Oliver fish fingers-sent apology letter and £4 coupon in post
*Florette salad-genuine compliment, £1 coupon, just waiting for one of their salads to be on offer at £1 again
*Starbucks-complaint about poor customer service-no response for ages until today when they emailed saying sorry for delay and to give address to receive 'beverage coupons'
*andrex-highly praising compliment on product-curt letter, no freebies or coupons
*marigold (the stock granules company not washing up gloves one)-curt letter and saying money off coupons are a big scam
*clipper-complaint letter about old jar design letting in moisture and going mouldy-free 200g jar
*P&G-complaint about link on back cover of electronic magazine on SSM site for 'sample' of Aussie shampoo (in reality 500ml bottle) not working-have offered to send me a free bottle of shampoo which should be sent out on Monday.
So you win some you lose some in the freebies gamexx

I have absolutely loads of skincare to try out (may even post a picture and list brands if anyones interested). Best freebie has to be from Pure Skincare which was a travel set worth £26. Also got two t-shirts, one for me and boyfriend from Sugar Puffs. Clixresearch is still a firm favourite of mine, got a full size body shop hemp hand butter (worth £10), full size body shop foundation, hand wash, body wash, perfume and got a mascara on the way. Used the link for Ann Summers £5 voucher so hopefully will receive that soon.
Little tip for those who compliment and hope for samples - put your address in your email signature as it looks less cheeky than saying 'can I have a sample? my address is xxxxx', while also saving time for your sample to be sent out as they don't have to ask.
Also, I see there have been people asking how to ask for samples. If it's for skincare for example, I usually be quite honest and say something like "I am writing to enquire about your skincare range. I have very oily skin which is prone to blemishes and early signs of ageing and was wondering if you had anything suitable? I have heard great things about your products from friends. I would also like to know if it would be possible to receive some samples of these products to try before I commit to purchase." but making sure I give lots of details and you'll get samples which will actually suit your skin type. If it's a more general compliment I usually drop a hint about how much I would love to try another of their products or how their products are unfortunately never on offer at our local shop.0
