Following reading posts in this thread, ages before Christmas I got busy contacting companies whose products I had bought. I contacted Clinique with feedback on one of their fab counter girls and complements on their products and got a standard 'thanks, we'll pass it on' type of response.
I had forgotten that in my busy letter-writing phase I had written a complaint to Tampax about their new(ish) design of standard and compak tampons - they've added a 'skirt', which seems to make me itch an awful lot and has not improved performance at all. I have just received an email apologising for my experience, suggesting that it may be a sensitivity that I have and offering: "send you a voucher purely to reimburse you for your purchase which I hope you will accept with our compliments and good wishes." As I have had to switch to their rather expensive Pearl tampons to circumvent the skirt (ooh-er!) this is a fab offer! Chuffed. Thanks to those who post on this thread for inspiring me!0 -
I sent a compliment email to Elemis and today got:-
Pro-collagen marine cream 2 ml
Pro-collagen oxygenating night cream 3 ml
Gentle Rose Exfoliator 3 ml
Papaya Enzyme peel 3 ml
Body performance Spa at home - Body scrub, muscle soak and body wash.
Also sent WKD a nice compliment email and today received from them a nice pen!!!0 -
In Morrisons recently I was overcharged for some ham that was priced £3 but scanned through at £4, the lovely customer service lady gave me a full refund so this week when I was overcharged 10p for some soup I didn't think twice to queue up thinking I would get a full refund. I queued for almost 15 minutes and the CS girl (not the usual lovely lady) gave me a 10p refund. So I emailed Morrisons and within and hour they were on the phone apologising and offered me a £5 voucher for me inconvenience. Pretty impressed, their customer service is so much more efficient than their pricing which is regularly wrong!0

Clinique aren't helpful at all. I wanted to try their products but can't get to their counter (where they freely give samples), but they wouldn't send me anything and told me to send a friend on my behalf ...0 -

I love this thread, good read, but I can't help but laugh when I read that someone had a 'genuine' complaint, does this mean you are complaining about stuff that aren't 'genuine', so feel the need to point out when it was a 'genuine' complaint. Just find it funny when I read it. :rotfl:0

It's not unusual for people to fabricate their 'complaints'. I laugh when I read of an absolutely trivial 'genuine' complaint ... there are serial complainers out there.0 -
