  • Had two more replies today, this time for genuine complaints:

John West - have apologised and requested the codes from the top and bottom of the tin of salmon - like a fool I forgot to write them down before I threw the can away! D'oh! Not much use to me or them without that lol.

Andrex - have popped a voucher in the post and apologised and given an explanation for my complaint.
  • I sent kelloggs a compliment letter about a week ago and received a letter back with a £5 voucher to spend on any of their products. Very pleased :)

  • Hey all, first post here, Ive lurked for quite a while but i just had to let everyone know of my success with Apple.

Firstly, I bought my Iphone around 2years ago brand new in unopened box from ebay, so I didnt even pay top whack for it.

Around 8 months after i bought the phone, the little button on the side of the phone stopped working, I knew i was in warrenty so I called up my local Apple store and booked an appointment, I arrived 5 minutes early and expected to be seen on my appointment time, I was then ushered into a queue for 45 minutes then given a new phone to replace the old one. I was fuming about the wait time but when a survey came into myemail inbox and i filled it out I didnt even get a letter of apology.

Anyhooo, My (2nd) Phone started playing up in the middle of November last year, It wouldnt accept any updates, kept turning itself off and crashing 2-3 tiems a day. I again went to the Apple store. I walked in and just wanted them to put the new software on (after a phone call to apple told me this was the issue). I was told "Yes we will update it but you will lose all your phone numbers etc if its not backed up".

I told them its fine its backed up at home.. He then plugged it in and left me in another 20 minute queue.. then came up to me and told me the phone isnt working at all now and its "Bricked". I would have to pay £125 to get it replaced (out of warrenty), I said no way.. he ran off and tried again..10 mins later came to tell me £55 to repair it.. I told him to give me my phone ill sell it for spares and buy HTC. Then about 5 minutes later a guy came out with a brand new boxed phone and told me "You came in with a working phone, you have to leave with a working phone". I walked out smug, instead of paying £125 for a refurbished phone, id bagged a brand new phone with 3 months warrenty on it. I was glad I stuck to my guns!

Sorry it was a long story.

I got 2 x £5 vouchers from Walkers today for a genuine complaint. Really happy with the customer services.
2 x £2 vouchers for Young's on a complaint about their garlic scampi. One bag didn't have any garlic and another bag had so much garlic it actually burned out mouths. :-) Luckily when I used the vouchers Mr M had some youngs scampi on sale bog2f and so I got 3 boxes of 20 youngs fish fingers for free:-)
I called to Nestle' a while back about a 300g jar of coffee that smelled "burnt" when you opened it. They said to sent it back to them with a cover letter which I did. And I never heard a thing from them. So I sent an email through their site. I wanted to both compliment them on the coffee as my OH won't drink anything else, but did mention what had happened with the other full jar of coffee. All I got back off them was a "thank you for your comments and we will pass it on." I don't honestly think anyone actually read the email. What a shame. I am genuinely out a full jar but nothing more I can do really.
  • Yes there is!!!!!!! phone them email them and write to them again and again and then you dont just want your replacement coffe anymore you want the return postage and costs for the phonecalls and wasting you time make sure you put a note that this is the 3rd time youve contacted them!! i emailed tesco the other week and it simply said i complained 3 weeks ago and have heard nothing i am now more angry at getting no reply then i am about the origional problem i now have £20 gift card for a problem with a £2 purchase.....Do not give up
