Hey,
I made a genuine complaint, about 2 months ago, to an Argos store manager at one of my local stores after the disgusting service I had received from their store staff and the delivery (or lack of delivery should I say) of my item. I bought a desk to be delivered but the shop store were shocking, when I went in to complain that it was not delivered, the manager (who was actually off duty) was fantastic refunded my delivery (£5.95 I think) and promised it would be delivered FREE but it wasnt delivered for a 2nd time, so when I went in to complain again, she apologised and investigated it, looked like the courier had lost it so she put one of their store stock in a taxi whenever it was convenient to me, so although it was a carry on I got my delivery charge back, I did write to customer services a full 2 page letter about it all but only got a letter of acknowledgement & apoligy back but I didn't really want anything just wanted them to see how great the store manager was and vent my anger too LOL.
This reminds me about 10 years ago I had a genuine reason to complain to a bus operator whose bus didn't show up (it was an hourly express bus at the time) so me & my friend had to wait an hour for the next one, when that turned up the driver was rude, didn't have any information on why the last bus didn't show up and due to it being a popular route, it was full after the 2 stops before mine so we couldn't get on, then when the 3rd bus came (this being 2 hours since we got to the bus stop & not been able to get 2 buses) we got on and again no comment as to why the earlier one didn't run. I wrote off to the operator who swiftly got back to me explaining what had happened, apoligised and gave me not one but 3 blank travelcards to use whenever I wanted to.
I also complained to Transpennine Express (train operator) a few months back, I had paid for first class carriage on a train from the airport to Middlesbrough as I was extremely tired from my flight and the advance fare was awesome deal (£9 I think) however due to the previous train being cancelled and this being rush hour, the train was packed & the conductor de-classified the first class cabin meaning it too was packed to the brim with passengers, although I only paid about a tenner, I still expected peace & quiet, which wasn't the case, so they got back to me & refunded my entire journey in the form of a railway voucherwhich is great as I used it to book a train to Manchester last month as a love going there
Don't really send emails or letters expecting freebies, if I have a genuine comment or complaint then I send it but I never really have a major reason to complain (and I shop/travel etc a LOT lol)

Just done a few of these again as been a bit complacent lately. Anyway, I don't like revealing too soon after I receive samples where they came from as don't want the company's to be inundated and link it to me. Anyway, I had a run of complimenting, complaining and querying last year and here is my list. All are genuine complaints, compliments and queries, I don't like making things up! And I never ask for samples either.

Hi, Long time no speak.
Came across this http://www.connectotel.com/marcus/ceoemail.html and i was wondering do people contact CEO's of companies to get the good products etc?
I contacted a company CEO from the list a while ago about our service of a product, had a call back in 24 hours.
I was wondering when making a complaint or even a complement how far would you go in the food chain?0
