Not sure what it is with me and shop pies but got another one that only had two pieces of meat inside. This time it was a Peters Premier Steak & Fullers Ale Pie. Complained via their website and today I got a Postal Order for £4. The pie only cost 69p so very happy with that result!

I have complained about Asda several times. Once when they refused a printed voucher at the till, the CS letter said they have to honour it and gave me a £5 gift card. Then we found a caterpillar in a lettuce and after weeks of not replying they suggested I take the lettuce back to the store. Erm it went in the bin immediately thanks, ruined that meal and meant me had to make a 2nd meal because of their lack of quality control. If it wasn't for their Diet Cherry coke we'd shop elsewhere now.

I've complained to Pedigree when I found a piece of plastic in a tin of dog food, £5 voucher. I asked Cadbury's why Boosts had a caramel residue that stuck to the packet, not a complaint I ensured them. Got a stock apology letter and a £2.50 voucher so I asked again stressing that it wasn't a complain. But again they ignored the content of the letter and sent another £2.50 voucher. Idiots.

I tend to write letters and complain whenever something goes wrong to be honest. I've had more apologies, freebies and vouchers but can't think of any specifics at the moment. Gonna complain to Pampers just now as the tabs have come off 1 or 2 of my son's nappies. See how that one turns out.

Oh yes I recently complained about the threatening polar bear spouting nonsense about the "benefits" of omega 3 on the Birds Eye adverts recently and am yet to hear back. There is no proven benefit of Omega 3! None at all! But every company goes on about it like it's a bleeding fountain of youth or something. I personally think without proof of it's benefits companies should be banned from advertising the fact their product contains it! Sorry rant over.
  • I once complained to Wagamama's when I was a student in London after a waiter swore at me and my friends for leaving a too small tip. I wrote the Managing Director and the Finace Director called me the next day in his absence. They sent me a letter of apology and £100 of vouchers!
  • Hello, this is my first foray into this thread. I am a firm believer in complaining if I think something hasn't met the standard I expect. But thread has also reminded me to comment positively too, and to that end I have just sent off two emails, one to New Tree chocolate, telling them how much I like their lavender chocolate, and where can I get some from as my local Waitrose no longer stocks it, and one to a new soft play area, for which I don't expect vouchers but wanted to tell them all the positive things so that they can keep them up and make me want to keep going there!

Anyway, this reminded me of when I wrote to Lansinoh complaining about their leaking breast milk bags. They sent me a very nice reply explaining why the bags were fragile (they don't use plasticisers, or something like that...) and a couple of boxes to double bag the ones I had, some breast pads and a tube of Lansinoh nipple cream (yes I know you will all be gagging for that one!).

I also sent back a Tresemme bottle as the nozzle had stopped working and they sent me about £10 worth of vouchers IIRC.

When I was younger I wrote to Ribena complimenting them on the Strawberry flavour, and received loads of vouchers in return for money off future purchases.

I also emailed a company recently about some dairy free chocolate spread they made which I used to buy from Tesco but has disappeared. I was told it was discontinued but they sent me lots of packets of dairy free chocolate buttons and white chocolate buttons and a big dairy free chocolate bar. Not bad at all :)
