But I'm back now, so have sent begging emails to a few companies that sell baby toiletries etc, as one of my best friends is pregnant and will be a bit stuck for money- so I'm going to stick together a big "useful stuff" hamper for her, and anything I don't have to pay for will be appreciated!
You could always join the various baby sites as they give out goodies.0 -
I tried them but i was sent a link to a website where i could buy a t-shirt and toy.I wouldn't bother with M&S, I was pushed out of the way by one of their members of staff, I was on crutches at the time so ended up on the floor. She then called me a silly bleep and M&S did nothing!0

Superflygal you and your friend did better than me, after sending an item back over 3 months ago, and me contacting them lots of times since I have yet to recieve anything, not even a letter!! xx
Disgraceful. Maybe we ought to start an M&S complaints stories thread up on here. If they get wind of how angry people are at their mistreatment, the head honchos might do something!
Why don't you write to the MD now, and say how upset you are, the fact that you buy things from there as its meant to be a 'quality' shop. They charge a lot more for things than other shops and treat customers appallingly. The fact that you have told all your family and friends about the disgusting treatment, and they have all said they will avoid shopping there!
I can't believe the person on crutches was pushed over BY A MEMBER OF STAFF!!!!! I don't shop there now, except to spend my credit card M&S reward vouchers and then I only buy things marked right down to £1 (So I cost them money!:rotfl:)

Lol!!! I never shop there unless I go to a discount outlet, and even then if its really cheap! I have sent a letter to the head office thingy lol, you never know, they might shock me and send me £100s of pound of vouchers lol, well, I can dream!! It was only a handcream I sent back, because I dont know if anyone else has had this problem, my nana buys me m&s handcream all the time, but then the pump breaks off, so I have to take the lid of and try and get it out lol, certainly wasnt a one off problem! xx'Patience is a virtue till we die. Then a ripple in the water caught my eye'Mrs Jason Orange.Getting organized and thrifty for christmas 2010!0 -
Hi,
I recently wrote a number hand written letter complementing companies I use and it was a great sucess. Now that got me to wondering do you get better response i.e vouchers, if you send hand written letter or is about the same if you email a company? I'd love to know what you think?
Naomi**Thank to all MSE who save me money with vouchers/ freebies & competitions ***0 -
I emailed the company who deals with Lee Stafford as my umberella broke after only just using it and the sent me 2 bottles of hairspray, I really wanted another umberella but they didnt have any left so never mind. I also got a GU spoon for enquiring about their products. Emailed Aunt Bessies as they 20 packs of mini yorkshire pudding only had 19 in the pack on the last 2 occasions.0

I love this idea and was wondering if you guys make up complaints, simply ask for free stuff or just compliment hoping for something.
Also do you include your adress at the bottom of the emails?Total payment recieved from GPT etc as June: £0.000 -

Personally I dont make up complaints because at the end of the day it's wrong, i usually compliment and ask if they have any goodies for myself or for my son depending on the brand.
If successful they will send something if not you get a nice email! but yes make sure to put your address on the bottom of the e-mail otherwise they cant send you the goodies!!:j
