The complaints were all genuine,just sick of bad products and service. If you don't say that something is wrong, how do things/situations improve?!

i emailed GU complimenting them but just got a thank you letter

I complained to Nandos. I had been in three times to different branches, and each time, there was a problem with the meal, be it cold or person i was eating with didn't recieve meal at same time etc etc. A problem with the fizzy drinks not being fizzy triggered the complaint off. I got a free platter meal worth £18

Hey hun, sorry, I haven't been telling people the company because I had like 60 emails asking this, and had some even saying they were going to make up a complaint , which seems rediculous to me, and so does making up a compliment! Sorry hun, not saying you would, but dont want to give their details out! xx

Ive had loads over the years, never get bored of trying to blag a freebie.

Jack Daniels- wrote a letter to them years ago in the states and got a lovely hand written letter back with pens, brass keyring, drinks coasters, sew on badges and a few other bits and bobs. (i thought it was christmas when the parcel arrived.)

Another Whiskey company sent me a free whiskey nosing glass (£5.99 on their website). also about 5 tickets each one admitting two people for a tour of their distillery with a tasting at the end, and some free biros.

W.K.D sent me about 5 turkey hats after I informed them we had ours taken by doorstaff and never returned (also about £5.00 on their site at the time).

There have been numerous others but cannot think of them right now. will try and take photos at a later date.

I have today complained (genuinely) to Virgin for poor service and also complimented (again, genuinely) a local restaurant for making our anniversary meal really lovely. Will let you all know if I hear anything back from either!
