I complained to a big supermarket because i used their brand of cocoa butter and got a rash on my face which stayed there for a couple of days. I have used other brands of cocoa butter before and never had a problem (or with any other type of body cream). They asked me to send it off so i did. They carried out tests and didnt find anything wrong with it but they sent me a £25 gift card.
It was lucky i didnt have work or anything when this happened!
Although i was a bit peed off about what happened (mainly because it was on my face) i was very impressed with the customer service and the fact they took my complaint seriously. The gift card was a nice gesture0 -
I had a hair in a lasagne I bought from waitrose. They sent me £20 worth of vouchers for John Lewis. Fantastic as me and my oh plan to move in together soon0

Hi guys,
Would anyone be as kind as to p.m me a sample of emails they have send to companies because I have no idea where to start. :money: xxx:A Money Saving Diva :A0 -
I had a brilliant result for my first ever complaint last week.
I bought some of Sainsbury's Twin Blade Razors about two months ago, and when I used one for the first time, it was absolutely terrible. I've been using razors to shave my legs for a long time so I know how to do it properly by now, but these razors cut my legs to bits. I had a total of 7 cuts on my legs, the longest one being over an inch long.
I sent them straight back to Sainsbury's head office with a letter stating how disgusted I was with them, and that I had photos of my injuries should they wish to see them...
Last week I had a letter telling me that their Product Technologist confirmed that 'the razor received was indeed a poor performing example'. And they are now 'in the process of reviewing this product.'
Also included with the letter was a gift card for me to spend instore, for £60  How chuffed was I?!"Your life is what your thoughts make it"

So after checking my post i thought that i'd leave my results
WKD- A pair of orange sunglasses and some beer mats (the sunglasses are quite cool!)
Kopperberg - I love kopperberg stickers, a ringring neck thing, a bottle opener and a wooden pen thing.
Durex - Pina colada Lube and a pack of three flavoured condoms
Heniz - A pen, A ketchup fridge magnet, a ketchup bag and an apron
Walls - a one pound voucher.
I did also write a complaint to Muller that one of their Muller rices wasn't custard, it looked strange, smelt a little like strawberry but i don't know whether it was. But they sent me £5 vouchers.
I also managed to get a refund on mine and my friends breakfasts at morrisons, we both had items missing and the eggs weren't cooked properly. So that was £10.60 refund, even for our drinks. - but that was instore
Haven't recieved a parcel from green and blacks yet though, i did write to Gu and they are sticking something in the post for me! Thankyou for the suggestion! Gonna check my post again on friday, i did check on monday, just didn't have the net working to write on here. Well it did work just was rubbish. On and to top it all off, i was feeling so chuffed having a refund for my breakfast that i bought a scratchcard and won a fiver.£11,000 in 2011 = £71.740 -
Oh yeah any more suggestions would be gratefully recieved!£11,000 in 2011 = £71.740

Having not had to complain for a while, I was not surprised to have to complain to Cadburys (for the second time in a year or so)
After visiting their factory place in Clarkes Village, Somerset, a while ago we brought some (at normal sale price) Frys chocolate bar things. I'd already looked at the dates on some products surrounding and with no sign warning of out of date bars, we brought them.
Only, the following weekend we tried them and they were all sticky and not like they are meant to be and tasted awful. To top if off, they were 9 months out of date!
I went through their online help form thing and sent them the necessary details. A week later (well, 6 days) I had a letter from them with a £5 voucher (the chocolate was about £3 I think (We brought other bits) so we were £2 up. Although, what really annoyed me was the person writing the letter was adamant that having spoke to his representative that there would have been signs warning of the out of date stock.
I wouldn't of minded if they tasted ok and i'd of known they were out of date, but that fact that they were little cheaper than buying in a shop for that quality is awful. I was going to send the chocolate off to them, but won't bother... I'm happy with a fiver:P

I'd appreciated any advice on wording lettes/emails too0 -
hi , can someone send me some ideas what to write in these emails/letters im useless lol0
-
Everyone who asked for a format, I usually use this:
Dear Sir/Madam,
I bought xxx from xxx on xxx. I am pleased/horrified at xxxx (why you're complaining/complimenting).
If complimenting -
something along the lines of 'I will reccomend this product to all of my friends, but I'd like to try something else in your range but am afraid I won't like it as much, would it be possible for you to send me a sample?'
If complaining -
something like 'I would advise all my friends to stay away from this product. I hope you'll take my comments into consideration'
