Two successes to share.
First is John Lewis. I was using their collect at nearest store service but they delivered the wrong item twice. The first time, I didn't realise it was wrong until I got home. The second time I opened the package at the store. After writing a letter of compliant, they refunded me the cost of the item plus £20 for my inconvenience.
Second is Tesco. I found a fly in a packet of rice so I emptied the rice, sellotaped the creature to the packet and sent it to the compliants dept. I got a £10 card for my trouble and a nice letter of apology.0 -
I'm sat at my computer trying to think of companies to ask sampled from.
I want post!:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
I know this has probably been asked loads, but what do you say to companies? I haven't had any bad experiences recently and don't like complaining anyway. But surely if you compliment a company they'll just say thanks and not send any free stuff.Hoping the comping fairy is nice this month and the postman comes.
:A:jThanks to all posters :j:A0 -

I recently tried your product for the first time/recently/after a friend told me about it and I think it is amazing/poor/whatever you think about it.
This is because it tastes great/didn't work/E.C.T.
You could now talk about the original product, or go on to ask for a sample about something else.
Thanks in advance,

Complained to the company that make my biodegradable nappies as the design changed 6 months ago and they have been next to useless since then. have tried sticking with them but they are really not up to the job. Sent the company a nice email as I'd like it if they sorted the design out. they are sending me some vouchers to get replacements (not sure of the value) and have sent my comments to their factory design team.
Crazygal - If you dont have anything to complain about then just think of some of the products/services you really do like and write to them and tell them what you like about their product or service. Sometimes they just say thank you, sometimes you get sent a nice present or vouchers, it depends on the company. Just be honest with the companies you actually do really like.:A0 -

Ok, i've had another brilliant one! I complained to a lingerie company, and a bra that the underwiring came out of after it only being washed 4 times at the most, they sent me a lovely email apologiesing and saying they were sending me some "good stuff" (their words lol) and giving me the fed ex tracking number. was coming from new york got here in about 5 days, I honestly expected a replacement and maybe one other, Got a huge box, inside was 5 bras, 5 pairs of knickers, 2 pairs of hold ups, a corset, a body and a baby doll! worked out cost and it almost £200 if not more, had only paid less than £20 for origional bra!! Amazing customer service from the off, and they replied to my emails within 10 minutes, and didn't even want me to send them the orgional bra which i'm going to try fix LOL!! xx'Patience is a virtue till we die.Then a ripple in the water caught my eye'Mrs Jason Orange.Getting organized and thrifty for christmas 2010!0
