I have been told to have a saving account which should not be a criteria?? Anyone experienced a similar problem??

Got my payment schedule last week (going into 3rd year).
Only had to show whatever form it was to my Uni in First year, didn't in second. Not sure whether that was because of what year I was in or whether the uni changed it after the enormous queues outside Student Admin and Support that it caused!0 -
BTW, on my last visit to the local authority student finance section they said they'd written to DS1. However the letter didn't come, so he phoned up, and they'd sent it to his term-time address rather than his permanent home address. Of course, he's now moved out of last year's term-time address, so they've had to send it again, and it still hasn't come!
This might be of use to any 'returning' students who are still waiting to hear ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Still haven't heard and now starting to worry. Going to give them a call tomorrow to check everything is in order.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0

For each dependent they will discount £1100 of income. I imagine that all benefits will count as income, though I may be wrong.
When you say the basic of everything do you mean as a grant or loan? Remember the highest earners get no grant, so if your has been awarded as a grant, there may be little extra to come.
