I submitted my claim online for my second year in june (starting sept). I didn't hear anything for ages. I was sent a letter asking me to post evidence but this didn't state what they wanted me to send (turned out to be a computer error en masse). I received a letter asking me to sign the declaration at the middle of July and then was sent the assessment with the schedule of provisional payments a week ago.
Might be worth ringing just to gee them up a bit. Good luck x0 -
I thought it was strange that i hadnt heard anything for ages!!
Thanks, i will give them a ring tomorrow and see what is going on

Some peeps on my course received schedules of price and payment last week through the post. I am expecting to hear from them within the next 2 weeks.0

Thanks for starting this thread, I was getting worried, glad I'm not the only the one who hasn't heard.
I can manage with a payment late by a couple of weeks, but anything more than that and I'm up the proverbial creek.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
I haven't heard anything either and I start in 4 weeks, erk.Entering competitions galore, not won anything yet!

Argh Annoyed.
My third payment isn't until after the tax year. Lame. Quite Annoyed by that actually, means I may not be able to fill up my ISA this year! NOOO.
I haven't had anything in the post though :rolleyes:0 -
DD starts her 2nd year on the 2nd of September. Chasing up her loan application last week (it was submitted early July), it turns out it was still sitting on a desk at our LEA! I'm hoping the fact that it's her 2nd year and that her course has a notoriously early start, her Uni will be patient."Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0

From your posts you sound sensible and disciplined, so you could in theory borrow from your overdraft to fill up your ISA and then in the new tax year get your payment to make up for it. I think it would be worth dipping under for a bit for the long term tax benefits.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
Yeh from working it out I need £850 to fill up ISA after the first 2 payments (£1100 x2 + £550). My overdraft with HSBC is £1000. I am hoping to use that to fill it up for the 2 weeks where I am waiting for student loan.
I just hope HSBC don't write to me and say 'we are taking away your overdraft immediately'!0
