What a varied bunch we are!
Am 29-ish (hence the user name!!), work far too many hours in the City but hopefully only until the next bonus comes round and then I can clear whats left of the debts, move together with my wonderful bf and start making small people who will probably grow up to lie about their ages (it seems to be a family trait, especially on the female side)!0 -

Yay! My first ever post after lurking on here for the best part of a month, leeching all your fab money saving ideas - OS is the best!:T
I'm a 35 year old work-from-home Mum of two (aged 4 and 8) with a far too big mortgage and when I am not lurking on MSE I can be found either working at one of my four jobs, entertaining the children, or utilising some of the great tips on here (Have just finished making draught-excluders ready for winter, watering down my milk and will shortly be off to buy some of the much-feted Stardrops!)
 for all the ideas by the way!

Am hoping to start work for myself once youngest starts playgroup in October so I can up clothing & holiday budget! (or pay increased mortgage payments due in November:()0

Hi,
I have only recently discovered this part of the forum ( and the green fingered one too) and i just cant enough of it. 5 years ago we moved into this house, an ex council house ,one of those with the huge gardens, with the idea of doing lots of veggie growing etc... then came along baby number 2, coupled with the fact that we both work full time and have anhours commute at the end of each day...and well the days just disappeared and so did the garden under a jungle of thistles, nettles and lots of other nasty long visious green things ( there are prob some Triffids in there too i would imagine!)
Anyway, we recently decided to put it on the market and for the first time in ages began to see our house and garden thru the eyes of potential buyers... and surprisingly we didnt see the big mess, or all the work it needed doing to it... we simply saw how much potential it has got and what a fab opportunity we have got with it....so here we are... sat waiting for the 25 week period with the estate agents to run out before we take it off the market ( not thinking about the flipping HIP pack which we had to have done and now will have to pay over £400 squid for  ).... but it will be worth it.
got so many things that we want to do now that we have decided to stay...
and i am hoping that we can get as much of it done as possible in a moneysaving way, using this site and things like freecycle...
Im even thinking of starting u my own website just to record the progress although im not very web building savvy, im sure i can work out one of those free website providers where they give you the template.
anyway.. sorry,, its been a long waffley post, ,, but just wanted to say Hello and what a fab resource this is.
Klare:EasterBun ...what more do I need to say?!
its all in the name of medical science.0 -
