Hi I am a SAHM with 3 DD's at primary school, I DH (at work) 1 dog 2 cats and 3 goldfish.

:hello: Hi
Lovely to meet you all.
I am a 33 year old mum of 1, DS aged 14. Been with OH for over 6 years and last year we bought our first home. We are sooooooo happy but sooooooooo skint
I work in childcare, although i manage the staff more than i see the children! Which is a shame as i adore children. I work between 16-35 hours a week depending on how busy things are.
I do nearly all the cooking, cleaning, food shopping and finances at home :A. OH works full time and if i shout at him a little bit he can be really efficient at doing the housework! He's pretty good really, never bats an eye at anything and is happy to go along with all/any of my plans. He's a terrible driver with awful road rage though  Actually i quite often resemble the hair raising blue EEK! when OH is driving! :rotfl:
Can't get teenage DS to lift a finger though  no matter how much i shout
Big fan of the MSE and am following all hints and tips on the forum with keen interest. Lovin the GC and i too wish i was a flylady. Ahhhhh, maybe one day :j

Hello, I've been reading these boards for a couple of years now, but don't think I have ever introduced myself.
I am in my early 30s, a civil servant (be nice, please!) and am planning to move into a house/flat/shed/rabbit hutch  in the near future with my partner. However, I realise that like everyone else, it won't be plain sailing financially, so I am looking for ways in which to save money and make our money stretch further. What I love about this site (apart from the friendliness!) is the fact that it has made me feel good that I can be in control of my financial future. Indeed, it has made me more determined to have both short and long term financial aims without thinking they are pie-in-the-sky dreams. I don't think one can put a price on that. :j
I am particularly interested in learning to grow my own vegetables and also in getting my young niece and nephew interested in it, too. Back to basics, like.0 -
Hi All :hello:
Just thought I'd say hello and introduce myself. I used to post on here quite a while ago, but unfortunately my OS ways have slipped somewhat, so I've decided it's time to get myself back on the OS wagon and am coming back in here for some inspiration.
I'm 26 and live in West Yorkshire with my lovely OH, and our little boy who is nearly 11 weeks old. He's the main reason I want to become OS again as when I go back to work after maternity leave, I want to do as few hours as possible so I can spend most of my time being a mummy. I need to get the food budget and other pointless spending down to a bare minimum in order to be able to do this, so will be spending the next few hours browsing the threads for ideas.
Also our diet has become pretty bad of late partly due to sleepless nights with the baby and also my laziness :embarasse so will be looking for some quick, healthy and cheap recipes too.
Well have rambled on for long enough. Hope you're all well and having a lovely Easter.

Welcome Yorkshire chick and Happy Easter!
I am sure someone will be along in a minute to help!0 -
Good morning from somewhere else in West Yorks. Not much white stuff here, unfortunately (am a big baby about white stuff). This is a good board, lots of ideas and a bit of a giggle too. I recommend the grocery challenge, you set your own budget for the month, and then challenge yourself to meet or even beat it. I have cut costs a lot since starting the GC.Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000
