  • Hi,

I'm fairly new to the site and in the last couple of weeks have spent a lot of time discovering the MoneySaving Old Style forum and think it's great. I work part time and have a fantastic OH, a DS who is 4 and a DD who is 1 on Sunday  . We trying to cut back quite a bit at the moment as I would really like to spend more time at home with the children so fingers-crossed with all the fantastic tips this site has, hopefully it will become a reality.

I look forward to chatting with you all..

Hi all. Keep myself out of mischief by being single Mum, full time Uni student, work at the Uni in Job Shop, student rep, mature student ambassador, mature rep in student's union, bank nurse(nights) renovating old cottage, have 2 students living in home too! Don't really have much time to come on here but do love this site!

    :hello: Hello everyone,

I've been on mse for a while now, but not really gone much further than the grabbit board and a few others, just getting the hang of oldstyle!

I'm 27 and work full time for a well known high street bank (don't judge me please!), and also work part time in my local. Live in a wonderful part of derbyshire with my OH, and we are half way through renovating the house.

Don't know what the future will hold but it keeps approaching!!!
Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

    Hi everyone,

I'm Jen, 21, mummy to Dylan (2 in December) and Daisy who is 8 weeks old. I live with my fiance Tim and we're getting married in July next year. I've just been made redundant after 3.5yrs of working from home (as well as in a pub before DS came along).

I've been lurking on here for a while and am a big fan of white vinegar and Stardrops, I'm definitely looking to become more OS! We are seriously skint at the moment but I'm hoping to start a new job working from home in the next couple of weeks. At the moment I'm really trying to sort our flat out and have a complete declutter - very hard to be tidy with practically no storage space. I don't really get any time to myself during the day as DD is breastfed on demand - and is very demanding! When I'm not feeding her I need to give DS attention. That's why I'm always on here so late, this is my chillout/cleaning/MSE time

I'm enjoying the encouragement of the Flylady and grocery challenge threads - I love a good challenge!

Looking forward to getting to know you all xx

Hi all. I'm ali. I'm 23, graduated last year and now living back home with my mum, sister, mums partner, sisters boyfriend and a rather fat cat (bit of a mad house!) Since graduating I've worked in my local pub for a while and in the art department for a tv show thats going to be on channel 4 in january but I finished both of those around the end of june. I'm currently setting up my own business selling handmade jewellery and gifts online (if anyone wants to know more feel free to PM me) whilst job hunting. Throughly sick of getting "we'll keeep your CV on record" emails and letters! Found three good ones to apply for today tho so fingers crossed. I found MSE back in august when I got scammed out of £180 on ebay, but I've probably saved that much since then thanks to this site lol.
    I'm through accepting limits
    'Cuz someone says they're so
    Some things I cannot change
But till I try, I'll never know!

  • I am new to this so thought I`d say hi.
I am 37 and mum to my 4 year old boy. He was diagnosed with autism 2 years ago so the past 2 years have been a bit of a learning curve...am currently undergoing the stressfull process of sorting out him starting school in jan and sorting out his support worker for school and after school care for the 2 days I work ( not easy when you have a child with a disability I can tell you! lol)
I work part time as a staff nurse although the current state of the NHS makes me want to do something else...am looking into going into teaching assistant work supporting children with behavioural difficulties...once little one is settled at school.
I was divorced 2 years ago but last year met my OH and got engaged last week! He works as a plumber with his own business.
We want to be debt free and own our own home but I suspect it will be a long time coming!!
