  • Hello from another relatively newbie!

I'm sort of SAHM as I've just started my own business doing music classes for babies and toddlers whilst my DS is at pre-school himself. I have a DH, DD (in Year 1) and DS (Just started pre-school) and a greyhound pup who we rescued at 8wks old and he is now about 10months old!

In addition I'm also secretary of my DS's pre-school, I sell Usbourne books and as much old baby stuff as I possibly can. I keep my dh on a tight spending budget and have got him to cut up his credit cards ;) .

I'm a keen money saver and love this site although I spend ages on here when I should really be working! Like now!

  • I'm currently on Maternity Leave.

I'll be returning to full-time in January as an Administrator for an Aircraft Handling company at Manchester Airport.

I'm hoping if finances allow to drop to 4 days a week in the winter and only do 5 days in the busiest months of the year.

Time for a little update, me thinks?

<<<< That (hopefully) is me. If I actually got the bloomin' thing to work, my avatar is me. I can't actually see them - something to do with my computer settings? 'Cos everyone else seems to be able to!

Anyway. I am a (newly) single parent. I'm constantly told that I look older than I actually am (not too bad just now, but I hope that's not still the case when I'm 50 and look about 70!) I live with my baby girl, Freya (15 months) in a flat. I am self-employed and am (as everyone else on here is, too!) trying my best to manage on what little funds I have available. It's hard but with everyone's support we're getting there :)

I don't actually have much else to say at the moment, lol. Just thought I had better do a litte up-date.

  • I'm 25, have just returned to education after working full time for the last 8 years. I managed to climb the ladder a way but hated my job and hated myself for staying it in, so I have given it all up and it's a bit of a shock to the system to have very little cash these days. I work part time as a cleaner around my studies, and as I'm now on a low income I'm going through the process of claiming housing benefit.

I love these forums because it's teaching me how to make the little money I have go further.

    Hello,

I'm Jay, I am a single parent with a 3 year old boy.
I work full time in the engineering industry and am far too independant for my own good. I spend loads of time going out and having fun with my boy, car shows, monster truck shows, and the park. I love my garden and grow loads of veggies with my boy (already a keen garden - well he likes digging in the mud with me).

I'm always looking for things to try and things to make life easier, be it things to do, cook or even better ways to clean up afterwards.

hello everyone, i've been mooching on this site for a while but have only just started posting and noticed this thread today, what a fab idea!
I'm 26 and work full time, i've also got a little boy who is 2 and an OH who is self employed and works rediculous amounts of hours.. I'd love to reduce my hours but need to reduce some of my debts first...
so i'll be using whatever i can from within this website (which is FAB) to reduce, reduce and reduce our debts even further!

  • Hi, Im a newbie and started on the site last week and love it! This is my favourite forum as everyone is so friendly!

Im a 43 yr old mam of 2 beautiful girls, 19 and 12. I work part-time, part year to be off when my youngest is off school. Ive never been able to manage my money properly and get really embarrassed and bury my head and ignore the debts Ive got (I know I know thats the worst thing one should do!!), but after reading peoples experiences and hints Ive now got the confidence to sort these things out once and for all. Its not going to be easy or pleasant but Im hell bent on doing it!

Im currently off work with a nasty cold so dont come close to the screen, aaatchooo!
Im going to sort my papers out now () and will get back on here after more beechams flu capsules and warm water and lemon.

    Love to you all xx
