I'm 37 have just bought a great house, with my gorgeous GF, and have just started a new job two months ago driving round the south east for a very large household insurance firm.
I love MSE. Just a normal bunch of people trying to make ends meet, and who know the value of a pound.

Do critisise what they say, and what they do, especially if what they say is different to what they do. They can help that"

Thought I should finally introduce myself because I've been knocking around MSE for about 2/3 weeks now.

I'm Gail just turned 40 (Arrrh!) living with my OH Michael (hence Mics_chick!) and 2 littlies - DD Fern (3 going on 23!) & DS Keir (2 in Jan).

I've just thought... they say life begins at 40 and for that's true - thanks to MSE!

I desperately needed to sort out everything about myself and my life and MSE has finally given me a switch hard kick up the derriere to start doing that.

I've just started thinking about cooking O/S to organise meal plans, going shopping regularly and stop wasting money on food I only buy to chuck away!

I'm gonna start the Flylady baby steps to organise my cluttered hovel and my non-existent routine...

I'm finally gonna write to TC as a start to sort out finances...

And I hoping that by getting off my big fat !!!!!! in order to sort out the house and cook better meals that I might lose some weight in the process too! Wishful thinking probably but I'm tackling enough to be going on with...

    Thanks for listening

    Hello everybody:hello:

I'm 23 and work 3 days a week in a clothes shop while I set up my own freelance business (artist/designer). I live with my OH and avidly use MSE in order to find ways to save and pay of my student debts and hopefully afford to do a masters degree.

    Nice to meet you all

  • Hello

Just wanted to introduce myself as I have recently stopped lurking and started posting. I'm a stay at home mum to dd, 2y, and ds, 8 months. I've been using this site a lot more now I'm not working - partly to avoid doing yet more washing - but mainly due to the excellent advice- I want to save money to put off going back to work as I want to spend as much time as I can off with my kids while they are small. And I love cooking and baking - it's nice to have others that are into that sort of thing without making me feel like a 50s housewife!
  • Hiya.

I'm a married SAHM of 3 kids, 2 boys and a girl, 1 dog 1 cat and counting everything a goldfish called chris lol. I love home cooking and looking for a challange of making meals "out of nothing" lol.

Anyway I'll leave at that for now.

  • Hi there to all

I have been lurking about for a few weeks now here as I do have this unhealthy (healthy actually ;) ) fascination with going back to basics and providing for the family the old fashioned way.
Not in debt at the moment, but been there in the past and realise I'm the kind of person who could easily fall back into it with the self destructing spending button so making sure I keep on top of being a good girl.

Been on this site for too long without an introduction, so here goes :)

I'm Danni, I'm 20 years old, was born in Liverpool but now live in Geordieland. I live my my lovely partner/carer and our daughter who will be 3 on Boxing Day. I've got mental health problems and Asperger's Syndrome/Dyspraxia (and a lot that goes with it) so cannot work, but am currently doing a part time college course and have applied for a full time place at a college for people with my problems/differences.
