Hi everyone
I've recently moved in with my fiancee so I'm hoping to pick up a few money-saving tips so we can get saving for our wedding. I've been lurking around for a while so I thought I'd say hi!0 -
Helloooo :j
I used to post on here a couple of years ago but went astray so now I have returned to mend my ways
I am a married mum with three boys. We all have HUGE appetites and I spend far too much on food. Despite DH and I working full time we are s-l-i-d-i-n-g into debt because, basically, we spend more than we earn (see, I get that now! :rotfl:)
Mostly we are naturally a "make do and mend" bunch - DH bless him, can fix anything and our car is what most people would scrapThe bank say they can't help us because we don't have anything to cut back on  i.e. no credit cards, HP payments etc. we have got in the mess we are by not having any idea what we spend and what we can actually afford.
Sooooo, here I am again back amongst the resourceful OSer's and looking forward to the challenge of sorting us out. But I miss my takeaways:(:(

Hello
I do lurk here every day and post occasionally.
Im a SAHM of 3 boys - 13, 2 and 1.
OH works full time (does enough hours for both of us) and although we are ok, we dont have spare money for nice thing - holidays etc.
SO i really want to try and cut back on my spending - shopping wise.
Normally shop at as -da but have just had a wander round Al -di and think i could knock at least 20 off my weekly shopping without trying(i do try and be good but normally spend aout 90 a week - i dont but ready meals and do baking)
Other things i am doing/going to do is use less detergent in my washing, try and not waste as much, go back to using bread machine and grow a few things.
Im planning on starting my own dress making business next year when ds2 starts nursery so i can work at home-am currently seeing an organisation to help me on my way with this.
I am also trying to buy a few bits each week to store for winter but not sure what i should get other than pasta, rice etc.
really love this site and you are all brilliant!0 -
