Products at B&M are cheaper, better quality and top brands compared to Home Bargains and they have a larger selection of other items rather than cheap foreign food that H/Bargains stock

Personally for me Home Bargains is far better than B&M, everyone is different, depends on what you need.

Your B&M must get different stock to ours, either that or your HB does.
I would argue with 'cheaper', 'better quality' and 'larger selection'
........unless it's garden furniture you are after

Not in our area Home Bargains have UK brands, B&M is the downmarket version.

Do you work for B&M? Welcome to MSE ;)

Hi can anyone tell me which offers the better products, HB Corby or Kettering? Also does anyone know if they still have the log roll in and any other gardening products?

Kettering is a bigger store but Corby is always far better stocked IMO.

There is a gardening aisle on Corby but I couldn't tell you what they had. I was in on Friday but just went straight to what I needed and didn't look at other things. I've not been into the Kettering store for a while.
Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!
  • :eek:oh my goodness ....how do you do that ....just go in get what you wanted and come out (after paying of course).

I would be so much better off if I had that ability but unfortunately when the door opens I feel like Aladdin and have to gaze in awe and wonder (ie I wonder if I could find a reason to buy it other than the fact that it is a bargain).
  • and for those of you who use the Telford HB I picked up some devastating news yesterday. the Instore and Netto on the same site as HB are closing end of May. That was my idea of a good day out. HB first for toiletries and packed lunch stuff for kids (and any other bargains) then Instore then Netto for anything I hadn't managed to get in other 2 shops. Now what am I going to do!

What a shame although I'm not surprised about Instore as it was always empty when I went. Netto was just too scary for me and I couldn't stand waiting so long in the huge queue to pay when there'd be 5 people in front with huge trolleys full. I can't see why it would close though as it always looked to be busy. You never know - we might get something else with bargains. A 99p store would be good or a Poundland.
  • I thought this thread was for posting 'bargains' on!!!!....well come on then - what have you found in your H.B today folks?
