A little off-topic - but visitors to Rutherglen HB might want to peep into the 99p store on the street outside the arcade. This weekend I found a huge range of Zoffany wallpapers (normally £47-£62 per 10m roll) for 99p a roll. I was extra lucky because the damask design I liked best came in a triple-length roll of 30m.
To get back on topic - I liked HB Rutherglen for bargains such as the Thorntons misshape chocs (lots in stock) but saw several items for double the Poundland price (eg Rescue Oil, Silvikrin shampoo).0 -

Thanks and now i'm gutted as been to get some to try today and its all gone will keep an eye out for more, heard a supervisor saying they dont order in stock they just put out what is sent
What a miserable lot of staff in Thornaby though doesn't matter what time of day you go, i am going to have a word with the manager next time, they just throw your shopping down the shoot not bothering if they break anything, don't open any bags for you , don't even speak or smile.
There is perhaps 1 exception to the rule0 -

I would like to put a word in for the 'Glitter Chick' 2-in-one shampoo that HB are selling, 250ml for the ridiculous price of 19p.
It looks absolutely horrible...bright sickly pink with a cheap cartoon transfer on the bottle. The shelf label says RRP is £1.99 and I thought, 'huh! Don't believe that!' But tried some, only 19p so why not.
I think this product is fabulous. It is very gentle, cleans hair without leaving any residue and no itching afterwards. It has a mild cherry fragrance, and, most important of all, it leaves my hair looking gorgeous - shiny, straight, and with a lovely sheen.
I have horrid problem hair, very dry and frizzy, and have tried EVERYTHING in shampoos to try to make it flatter, more manageable and in better condition. Problem is complicated by fact that I am very sensitive to chemicals, and get a bad reaction to a lot of products. The previous best product I had found was John Frieda's Weather Works' ( at £4.50 a pop!) - but the Glitter Chick stuff beats this, easily. And all for 19p!
I bought bottles of the stuff. Would be interested to know what others think of it.0
