and for those of you who use the Telford HB I picked up some devastating news yesterday. the Instore and Netto on the same site as HB are closing end of May. That was my idea of a good day out. HB first for toiletries and packed lunch stuff for kids (and any other bargains) then Instore then Netto for anything I hadn't managed to get in other 2 shops. Now what am I going to do!
Two stores on a Telford retail park will close with the loss of dozens of jobs to make way for the county’s first Asda Living store which will create 80 posts, it was revealed today.
Netto and In-Store on Wrekin Retail Park, Telford, will close to allow the retail park owners Legal and General to knock the two units into one for the new Asda Living superstore.
The new store will be opened by the middle of next year. The Netto store is due to close on May 31.
So it will be an Asda .. like the Tesco extra near Sainsburys
  • Asda is quite cheap but NOT as cheap as Home Bargains!

Did a quick thread search and couldn't see these posted. Home Bargains have teal green Jamie Oliver mugs for 99p - rrp £9.99. It doesn't say, but I think they are slight seconds - one or two seemed to have very small smudging of the colour, but hardly noticeable. They are Royal Worcester, which has now closed, so they could be end of range. They are these, but only had teal green:

Has anyone seen any of the Hallmark photo frames in the Leeds/nearby stores please, particularly the black wood and suede mount ones with the 'handsome' label on? Like this one but with 'handsome' on.

In HB at Deepdale Preston today, were trays of 6 of the healthiest, bushiest annual bedding plants I've seen in any of the local retailers. There were petunias, begonias, bizzie lizzies (sp?), etc, for just 99p a tray, near the door.

Up the road, much sadder specimens were £2.99 a tray in Sainsbury and Aldi's at £1.99 were looking a bit parched and leggy.

Well worth a look if you've got lots of pots to fill!

    Cannock Store (Town Centre)

Girl Tech IM-Me (RRP £59.99) .... Home Bargains (and Amazon) have them at £9.99

I got 2 from Amazon (before I found them in HB) and they are 'ok' for £9.99 ... not worth £59.99 though. DD has had fun playing with them.

Well I went for the first time and I got...
4 cartons of ribena for £1
    4 275ml bottles of appletise for £1.29
2 clear plastic large shoe boxes for £1.59

Not a great deal that I was interested in but not bad.
