  • Where are all the mis-prices???
  • Ok Hubby has man flu, the beechams all in one 16 pack has a sel of £2.99, went through at £3.85.
Real men never follow instructions; after all they are just the manufacturer's opinion on how to put something together. :p
  • Hello
I saw your comment about printable coupons from couponNet or other site (do you know of any others for me and other MSE fans)
I have tried printing coupons and cannot even though I have followed all of the instructions to the letter.I have managed from other sources but not the particular site that suuport couponNet i.e. pedigree, kraft, johnson baby oil etc
I am a novice at saving but learning fast !!
I am wondering if couponNet or others allow a certain number of coupons to be printed and then block the printing of any more
Have you had any problmes printing coupons and can advise/help or do you have think that I might be right in thinking that there is a quota on these sites - it would make sense i suppose

Hi. You might find it useful to search on the printable money off coupons thread on the forums. Hope this helps - let me know how you get on.
  • Two misprices today:

Lynx deodorant - big SELs and end of aisle displays saying 3 for £5 - no restictions mentioned, however this did not kick in for a purchase of 3 Lynx Africa Rollons. The individual SEL for the rollons purchased did not state 3 for £5 where some of the other ones did (the spray deos did have it mentioned in their SELs). The nice lady on CS reluctantly gave me my DTD and then took down all the big SELs! £2.48 DTD back.

Other misprice was for the Marmite savoury thins (near the crispbreads). SEL said discontinued 99p, but it scanned at £1.99. £2 DTD back

Mortgage free wannabe! No idea on date yet! £132,350 TBC
Loan paying off May 2022 £7000
  • Just bought 6 packs of Boheme lager 20x330ml originally priced at £15.99 (approx) but now in the 3 packs for £20 offer which is a great saving

Went through the till at £10 per pack so DTD of £40 back

All in all approx £96 of beer for £20
Only time will tell if I am right or they are wrong

I know this is more chat but need some advice please:

There is an out of date SEL showing wine for £4.49 instead of £8.99.I was hoping would scan at £8.99 so I could do DTD and basically end up with it for free. However, price check showed it still going through at SEL offer even though offer officially ended yesterday. Is there a chance that the till price may go back upto the proper price shortly ie before they realise the SEL is out of date? Thanks

If its still scanning on the price checker at the lower price then i would of thought the offer had been extended. They will probably get around to putting the new sel with the extended date up sometime.

Just had a very good result from Tesco:

Went to buy a black printer cartridge and decided to buy Tesco's own version to fit my Hewlett Packard Printer as the shelving said £10.38 (out of date by 3 weeks).

I was charged the normal price of £12.97. I handed over £3.60 worth of money off coupons as just found out theat Tesco policy is you do not have to buy the product as long as they stock the item (3 separate coupons).

Therefore was left with £9.37 to pay(used £10 gift card sent fron ValuedOpinions). So in reality no out lay,I then went to customer services and said I have been overcharged by £2.59. The girl offered me the £2.59 and I pointed at the board stating their double the difference policy. The girl phoned the supervisor who stated that she had to refund double the difference and the price of the item????? So she proceeded to refund me in total £15.39 (still cannot work out where she arrived at this figure-but did not question it). So total outlay was £9.37 (on gift card) and received £15.38 back and the cartridge!!:j

Anyway not supposed to chat so heres the details:

Tesco HP H70 Black Ink Cartridge SEL £10.38 scanning at £12.97. There were two more out of date SEL for other cartridges so not sure if these get commonly missed around the country.

    Every little helps

A pack of two snack sized pork and pickle melton mowbray pies (Tesco brand) - SEL is £1 but they go through the till at £1.25.
Also, Tesco has just started a 3 for 2 offer on greetings cards, but it didn't work in Swansea (Llansamlet) today - they charged me for 3 cards without deducting the cost of the third. The signs said it related to all cards, not just Tesco's own brand.
