Picked up a few things earlier tonight at Trongate, Glasgow.

5 x Pack of Lion Bars (42g a bar). Sofia The First socks, Hello Kitty gloves and Furby slipper socks for my niece's stocking. They're also doing some Xmas paper varieties "3 for £1 Mix And Match" which are 3 metres long per roll.

Saw the MUG (chuckle) display but didn't succumb. Looking forward to seeing what the makeup blogging world thinks of it.

    Edit: Here's a few: http://www.cosmopolitan.co.uk/beauty-hair/makeup/reviews/a30619/poundland-makeup-review/

In a nutshell, the reviews I've read so far give unanimous praise...almost. The mascara, blusher and loose powder tend to get the thumbs down.

I noticed that having looked on the website, what our nearest Poundland, in Darlington had in stock was significantly different. There was no mention of Original Source shower gels and handwashes on the site, but the store had loads.

I loved the range of snacks from Tasty Snacks. There were Japanese rice crackers 180g, honey roast cashews 100g, wasabi nuts 200g and others that we didn't get. The bags didn't look like pound shop buys and neither did the contents.

300g packets of 4 Cheese Ravioli were 2 for £1, snapped up these. If they are half as good as Aldi's they will be fine.

I got a lovely seasonally scented spicy Zoflora disinfectant that's nicer smelling than most air fresheners.
I liked a lot of the Christmas decorations range, which isn't always the case, one that wasn't on the website was a 'Christmas' wooden cut-out in a muted, tasteful tartan.
They had chocolate gingerbread hearts as well, as seen at Aldi and Lidl, plain chocolate. Love these.
The yogurt coated raisins are very nice:)
Britain is great but Manchester is greater

In Argyle Street, Glasgow Poundland they had Superman or Batman "Tell The Time Flash Cards" http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/512uSB4xA0L._SY300_.jpg nice little stocking filler for a little one.

Also Silver Premium Suede & Nubuck Renovator in Brown*, a waterproofing and restorative spray. Has a handy rubber-nibbed "brush" on the lid. Would be good for winter boots, gloves etc. http://market.c.mobofree.com/5/53e0139b5665eda21e8b4568_1024x768/Pictures-of-Silver-Premium-Suede-Nubuck-Renovator-Black-200ml.jpg

(I didn't realise they came in colours till I got home, bought it all in a rush...nearly sprayed them on my beige Uggs! Haha).

*Edit: They also have this Suede/Nubuck Spray in Black now, too.

Not really my thing, as I'm not a big fan of candles (too scatterbrained!) but they're talking about Heart House Tealight holders in Poundland here http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/heart-house-tea-light-holder-1-poundland-2058827

One member commented there's some in Glasgow, didn't say where, though :)

Feel duty bound to report my finds from Stratford (E15) today. The makeup counter was up, but almost bare. I bought a liquid eyeliner and there was it much else in it. I quite like the powder blush btw, it's a good colour on me.

New in the Jane Asher range are china mini cake-stands: it's bit clumsy looking but ok to serve cupcakes on. Also some cake push-outs, a trend that isn't going to catch on IMO. Was looking for giant muffin cases but couldn't find any.

Suchard Hazelnut Pralines from the 99p store.

Absolutely delicious, and a proper quality product unlike some Poundshop products. My box had Russian writing , so this might be a grey market products.

    14.pieces/150g in a presentation box.

Saw 4 packs of Wispa the other day.

Standard stock now seems to be 3 packs of chocolate bars so grab 'em if you see 'em!
