I think with plants it's up to the person. Some people can take a dessicated twig and have it blooming in no time and others (like me) can kill a healthy plant by looking at it!
Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.
  • I bought some Willy Wonka runts today-have only seen nerds and gobstoppers before today! also got 10 pack of popping candy, 9 pack of rainbow drops and 9 pack of refresher bars! My kids don't usually get a lot of sweets but these will do for DDs party bags in a few weeks :-) I also picked up some wool (3 for 2) and a couple of books: Cooking with Coco by Anna Del Conte (RRP £18.89) Derek the sheep (from the Beano) RRP £7.99! Delighted with today's haul- time for a cuppa!
  • i got 2 rose bushes for mothers day and planted them but as of now they havent grown, i'm hoping its due to the bad weather. as the 1 i got 2yrs ago took really well and has a couple of shoots on it.

I bought a climbing rose too, but have yet to plant it. A job for the weekend.

I bought one of those 1p wild roses last year that was on this board and mine didn't flower. Just as I was thinking this year that I would have to throw it and that it was a waste
of 1p:D it grew a flower; in all that cold weather last month.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

I bought a blueberry plant two years ago and it has done nothing. It is alive but doesn't grow - I have fed it and it is in ericaceous compost, but nothing.

I got two oriental poppies a few years ago, one white, one red. The white one died but the red one thrived and is ENORMOUS. I noticed that £land have red ones this year, too. Don't expect anything much for the first two years but do plant it where it can spread a bit. As a bonus, the leaves are quite attractive, making it a nice foliage plant.

Perservere with it! I bought a really cheap "it's about to die" reduced plant from Homebase a few years ago. I'm quite good with plants, but even after I stuck it ericaceous compost and gave it TLC, it didn't do anything. Then last year, it was absolutely covered in blueberries! Always pays to keep at it until it's definitely dead :rotfl:

Loads of good stuff in today (though I had no money to buy any of it)!

Nickelodeon DVDs, Real monsters 1-4, Hey Arnold 1-4, Rocko's Modern life (not sure how many in the series), a couple of Rugrats ones too.

    Lego annual.

Kallo corn cakes & rice cakes.

Loads of nice quality branded toys in at the mo. (and some stationary too) Hot wheels, moshi monsters, JCB (pens and pencils etc), zhu zhu hamsters, hello kitty, Thomas the tank bath crayons , Mr Potato head wooden puzzle...

Still some Posh wash in (sweet cinnamon ) but still no other scents.
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
