Yay, nail stampers have arrived at my Poundland!
Got a pack of 9 Quaker Harvest Chewy cereal bars for £1. They're handy for breakfast on the go, quite substantial.
Tempted by the plants again - black hollyhocks & freesias especially.
Apart from that, nothing much caught my eye.Public appearances now involve clothing. Sorry, it's part of my bail conditions.0 -
Swansea Oxford Street
- 4 pack of Tictac ( in tesco £1.45)
There's still 2 bottles of Posh Wash left.
No FloriographyI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -
in Deptford Poundland today:
Get Fresh Naked – Minty Menthol Body Wash (RRP £3.99)
It's sulphate and paraben free.
I looked it up on my phone and they had other 'flavours' on the Naked website for £1, so I didn't buy any. Checked on the computer just now and it's OOS... back to Poundland tomorrow!0 -
has anyone bought any of the plants in cardboard sleeves? I was tempted by a purple climbing rose, it's still alive but not much more than a twig at the moment. Just wondered whether it's worth persevering with it.
i bought a box of organic potato fertiliser too, seems good value.0 -

I bought a blackcurrant 'bush' a couple of weeks ago and it's doing really well although it already had a lot of new growth poking out of the cardboard when I bought it. In the past I've bought roses which were dormant and just looked like sorry old twigs but they always sprang into life eventually and thrived.0 -
The majority of my Poundland plants have been fine, but the raspberry canes were a failure, 1 out of 6 showed a few inches growth and then died.
I have the same kind of success/failure rates with Poundland as I do with the other major plant suppliers.0 -

A couple of years ago I bought 2 climbing roses from Poundland which were no more than twigs to start. One died but the other one is superb. It has climbed up and covered my 6 foot fence and flowers at least twice a year. I checked yesterday and it is covered in new leaves. Good luck!0 -
Thanks everyone, it makes me feel better about the chances of it growing!0

Just to add to that - we've found their stuff to be every bit as good as Thompson & Morgan (and most of it is better quality).0
