Mine has been swiped by my 5 year old because he says he needs it to brush his knees and it feels lovely.
In fact I think kids are happier with several low value gifts that one expensive one, until they learn the value of money.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Hope is not a strategy...A child is for life, not just 18 years....Don't get me started on the NHS, because you won't win...I love chaz-ing!

I'm pretty sure it was just called Kate. It was a white hardback with a picture of her on the front. Think the writing was in blue but I can't remember for sure.If my words are missing letters then please excuse me....my keyboard is a tad dodgy!!0 -

Margi Clarke (or Margox as I remember her) is working as a barmaid in a Liverpool pub nowadays. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2241530/Ex-Coronation-Street-actress-Margi-Clarke-reveals-works-pub-failing-acting-job.html
In Lancaster Poundland a couple of days ago they had a book about the band Genesis. Looked expensive and was a fairly big one at over 350 pages. Covered the Peter Gabriel days too (proper Genesis!!) so pretty comprehensive and looked like it was probably an official authorised product.
Wasn't she Tyrone's mother in Coronation Street?
And what a mother indeed !!0 -
She was also in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letter_to_BrezhnevNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

I've been looking for Fireman Sam/Thomas bath crayons, and the mini Monopoly games mentioned on here, in Poundlands for weeks. No joy
All part of the fun. I never come out of there empty-handed.
There was also a (cellophaned) Elaine Paige book that looked quite elaborate and expensive, in Argyle Street. Musicals aren't really my thing, though, but someone would love it.
As for the foundation brush, I bet my three year-old niece spends more time playing with boxes and tissue paper than she does with her actual Xmas presents. I love kids at that age, they're not greedy and thrilled with the smallest of things. (Unlike her teenage big sister...!).
Edit: Also saw a Janet Jackson book in the Union Street, Glasgow, Poundland. "True You". Appears to be some sort of lifestyle-coach-type book.
