Re the bin bags - we have wheely bins here so would not matter and Ivdid not get chance to ask why as there was a long queue and I just paid for the other items I had and left the store. The girl did try to scan them several times and then said they had been removed from sale, to which I replied that there was a shelf full of them!!

  • Just posting to recommend Poundland's brand of super glue, which you get 4 in a pack. This product has just saved me shelling out 50 quid for a new bag as one of the metal buckles which attaches to the strap broke off and it seems a small screw is now missing. However, I reglued the buckle bag to the remaining part on the bag and it's held it back in place. Obviously, I will have to be careful that I don't put too much weight in my bag but I'm happy to be able to use my bag again.

  • Not poundland but in the Sam 99p shop (there are a few around south London), bottles of Carrefour (the French supermarket chain) washing machine detergent liquid. It's 20 washes and normally costs €4.69 a bottle. The label is in French, Dutch and Spanish which is probably why no one else was buying them as they didn't know what it was.

^^^^ Wrong thread or just spam...?

I was looking out for a medium sized lightweight tray (suitable for carrying tea and cake to my study!) and bought something like this - but with a cute and summery butterfly pattern. Was pleased to have found something non-Christmassy!
