I only ask as in the past i've bought brand names from Poundland and I could swear they have been weaker fragrances/tastes than the ones I buy elsewhere, which has made me think that's why they are in Poundland - because they are products that didn't come out right.

i havent found the quality noticeably different, its usually the quantity that varies - ie loaves of bread only being 600g rather than 800g

sometimes brands have slightly different mixes depending on which country they are selling the item in, and alot of poundland stuff tends to be leftover stock from mainland europe, so that might be what you are noticing?

which products have you noticed it on?

It could be the fact the goods come from mainland europe.

I'm thinking more along the lines of the toiletries i've tried in the past. They've not been as strong as the British ones. Noticeably Nivea (from Poland) and Clean & Clear products, from Hungary.

Darlington Poundland still had some of the Weightwatchers Selection Boxes. They also had the much -vaunted Fox's Ambers 'biscwits'. I saw this, which I already own: Adam Hart-Davis's Just Another Day: The Science of Our Everyday Lives
This is a really interesting 'Ooh I didn't know that' book that would be a great gift for anyone who loves TV programmes such as Bang Goes the Theory, or QI.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

Picked up Harry Hill's book Living the Dreem, get's good reviews. Also got a 2 tier cake stand, it's just 2 plastic plates with a wee pole/stick thing to separate them nothing fancy , but looks cute & think my dd will love it. They had them in pink & blue.
Think they would be nice for kid's parties.
    Booo!!!

Has anyone bought the cake box/carrying thing? round white base with a dome in clear plastic that clips to base and a white handle?
Have you noticed it makes your cakes really soggy and wet??
two cakes have gone like this now, both were completely stone cold when put in.

Walkers crisps multipacks are smaller bags by about 5-10g from memory. Noticed it on the Comic Relief flavours earlier this year.
