Got a clutch of DVDs at Shepherd's Bush. Starsky & Hutch (the remake with Owen Wilson), Superman Returns, SAW, XXX Van Diesel and Nemesis. They were in normal DVD box complete with cellophane wrapper. On closer look, there was a sticker saying the DVDs are pre-owned and refurb. I checked them at home and they seem fine.

I just posted this in a separate thread and then found this one.

Cute Animal Lunch Boxes in Poundland, £6.99 on Amazon
In lancaster today they had cute animal lunch boxes, that also zip out as a place mat, in the poundland I was in they had the panda and the tiger. My daughter loves animals and will love hers.

Here is a picture of them

Haven't seen them mentioned anywhere else, Darlington £land had Weight Watchers Selection Boxes, 4 cereal bars, 4 choccy-based bars, a wee pack of choccy raisins and a little pack of mixed dried fruit and nuts. BB end Oct 11. The bars I tried tasted really nice. Given that this is an official WW product the original price was probably something ridiculous.

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but in Stirling Poundland they were selling pre-owned DVDs, I got:
    Phone Booth
    Saw
A couple of the Friends series
They had a few other ones as well, thought they were good for £1, they come wrapped in cellophane with a sticker on them telling you they've been pre-owned and checked.

I've just discovered that the Poundland mesh oven tray that is marketed as a chip crisper makes an excellent pizza crisper too - the turned - up corners make it easy to pull out of the oven as well. I do like dual purpose items.

I got one of these as every non stick tray we have - the chips/roasted veg stick to it! So tried this out today and worked very well.

Also I have been stocking up on the Goodis/Organix babyfood in there, well on the packs of raisins and apricots actually as they are great snackpacks and I would rather get 6 for £1 than pay £1.65 for 4 packs in the supermarkets!
  • I got a great haul in The Fort today! A Nintendo DS My Health Coach Stop Smoking With Allen Carr - well chuffed been wanting to try this for a while.:j will let you know how it goes!!!
Managed to grab half a dozen Rimmel Vinyl mascaras at funnily enough a quid each. So thats me got enough to keep me going til the new year now :D
There was loads of lovely little Beatrix Potter baby books too that would make great pressies for kids.;)
There were also those ice lolly holders that everyone says looks like the ones in Lakelands.:p
Oh and there were lots of of those reload cds too (but not as a good a choice as Clydebank has) and DVDs including XXX, Marley and Me and Perfect Storm.:T

In Ipswich branch today and they have really good selection of baby toiletries: Johnsons and Simple brands. Also some Rimmel cosmetics, such as single eye shadows. For mushy pea lovers: 3 cans of Harry Ramsdens Mushy Peas for yes, £1.

    A question for Poundlanders....

Are brand name products exactly the same as the ones I would buy in other shops?

I only ask as in the past i've bought brand names from Poundland and I could swear they have been weaker fragrances/tastes than the ones I buy elsewhere, which has made me think that's why they are in Poundland - because they are products that didn't come out right.

It may be my mentality thinking that, but they have a couple of toiletry products i'd like for much cheaper than Boots/Superdrug and the like.
