  • Have you tried Couponnet? You can print off coupons.
Tesco take some coupons even if you don't purchase the item (as long as they sell it).
Other threads tell you about available coupons. Sometimes when you send for a free sample you also get a coupon.
When I use my coupons I save the money in a jar, so far I have £65 this year.
This may not help today, but it will give you an emergency fund in the future.
    Good luck.

No. We mean the picture you have uploaded to your profile to show beside your posts.

Hi Jo, and the rest of y'all,

I have to agree that this is a really encouraging and motivational thread, and I've been in a similar situation myself a few months ago. The sleepless nights are the worst I found, but also spent around an hour around 3am counting out the coppers from my giant whisky bottle....I ended up finding around 12 quid i think.

Going through that the support here is second to none, and the resourcefulness of others encouraged me to fight through. There's nothing quite like only having a few pounds for the few weeks before payday to really make you realise quite how unpleasant and stressful it is. Since, I've also got an emergency fund going, which hasn't been dipped into yet, and not for a while neither!

Good luck in recovering, and I'm sure things will straighten out now that you're on the MSE. ;)

  • I have been in this position quite a few times following illness forcing my husband to quit work - we now do car boot sales every sunday, the first time we did one we just emptied out our house of old tat and now we do them all the time you wouldnt believe how many friends and family give us items that they longer want and cant be bothered to tip or do a sale themselves.

The cash we earn pays for our food shopping and my fuel each week
